CHATBOX CHAT WAS A SUCCESS!

Here's the CHATBOX chat schedule that we've come up with for this week.

Friday - 11/12 - 8:00pm (EST)
Saturday - 11/13 - 9:00pm (EST)

(ADJUST THE TIMES ABOVE ACCORDINGLY, TO FIT YOUR TIME-ZONE)

CHATBOX is easy to use and is located at the very bottom of the "HOME" page here on facepaintforum.com

You do not have to make any special account or register anything additional to enter CHATBOX. To enter the chat you simply scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click "log in" - you will instantly enter the room using your F.P.F. screen name.

If the chatbox has no chatters and it's getting close to the posted chat times, you may still log in and are encouraged to do so. Don't assume that the chat is going to remain empty. Usually with only one person being present starting the room, more are sure to join you. We have had up to 15 live chatters and a whole lot of fun.

It seems to work out best if you are willing to do the the following:

*BOLD your text as soon as you enter.
*show respect for your fellow chat-mates (it's a great group of chatters)
*enter attitude free (we want to have friendly, fun, productive chats)
*have fun, share & learn!

We haven't had any issues yet and it hasn't called for a moderator to be in the room at all times, I think by following the guidelines above, we can continue on without having to request moderators dedicate even more time than they already do.

Come chat with us - EVERYONE is welcome from beginner to master level. Get the word out to your friends, we are trying to make the live chat another great opportunity to share our common interest with this awesome group of people.

(ChangingFaceDesigns most recently initiated the idea that we get the CHATBOX up and running, she's off learning at FABBULAS and has asked me to make a posting to remind the members here of the upcoming chat.)

CHAT TIMES
If you are unable to attend due to time zone conflicts, please feel free to take charge and organize a meeting time that would be convenient for you and your location.

This will be the easiest way for people from all over to eventually bump into each other. (Having the chat active at all different times and dates). We originally tried to work it so that the time would be convenient for everyone no matter the location, but quickly realized that was impossible....it doesn't have to be an all or nothing thing - the most important thing is that everyone knows they are welcome no matter what chat they are able to attend.

I would hope that wouldn't matter too much, I think we are all adults here. The chat is a time to get together and share your common interest with a great bunch of people. It doesn't matter if theres 2 people chatting or 200.

Please don't ever not come into the chat because there's someone you may not care for. There may be several others who you can learn from or can learn from you. No need for any grudges.

I think everyone get's along pretty well here.

Sometimes comments are meant to be humourous - most people get my sense of humour.

Guess you don't.

HAD A BLAST TONIGHT IN THE LIVE CHAT! We had 8 steady chatters and quite a few come and go inbetween. It was a really nice time, everyone was awesome. All in all a great success!! Chat started a bit early and went on for over an hour with people still chatting and having fun.

Thanks so much for everyone who came...it was great!
