Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
Have you tried to make them yourself? I can explain how... I should do a youtube on it
Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
is that what most people do? which brand is best for it? I guess I'll just order regular paint and make some... buying them new is expensive!

Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
You just use your regular paints, get some containers that fit you brushes and you like, then its paint surgery time! A scalpel helps.

Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
I have made many split cakes with Snazaroo and they work great.
I have used that brand since I had lots of product.
I did cut up a bit of DFX's lime green into them. They don't fight!

Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
My favorite is DFX too, it's super bendy and pliable. just use wax paper, a razor knife, and something to pry out the strip and it's uber easy and uber cheap to make your own!

Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
You can also go to the drugstore and buy those pillboxes with the little compartments (the ones that have the days of the week on them).
Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
I have used bead boxes and the pill boxes. I love when a child says, "may I have the Tuesday colors?"
Re: looking for rainbow/split cakes
yeah, metina sells a tag 1 stroke pallete for $230....I didn't even notice I paid that much for it.lol.. but it is a huge amount of paint and I still feel like it was among my best purchasing decisions.,
