This is a copy of the picture I keep in my kit, I don't think I did it justice. My family is what Im thankful for the most. My little boy did it for me and its him and I doing something fun. I have a picture in my locker at work and my partner has a picture with his tools. So I am thankful for there support, there love and there forgiveness (I work evenings) I'm also thankful that my children are happy and healthy (we almost lost Jasper when I was 8 months pregnant). Also, I'm thankful that my partner is a chocoholic, because there is always chocolate in the house.

Just so cute! I never thought of face painting one of my daughters artworks. Great Idea! I have a few friends that have their kids names written in their own writing in a tattoo... it looks really colourfull and cute.

(p.s. the spellcheck keeps telling me I spell colour wrong - but that's the Aussie spelling - honestly I'm not illiterate!)

All right.... I challenge Tash to paint up an Ozzie Storm, out on the patio style.

In Perth at the moment we've got a good one brewing of the coast, the humidity's high, you can smell the electricity in the air, we've got a case of cold beer in the fridge and some snags and now we're just waiting.... Tash is lucky, she's in Sydney and they get the best storms.

You're right bout our storms - electrical storms - all lightning and thunder and no rain - or better yet the hail storms that destroy all our house roofs, windows and cars!
Love a good storm - especially when it's hot weather!

Sam you should post the original picture your son drew as well if possible.
I wanted to call my daughter Jasper but my man wouldn't have it - so she's Jasmin.

Tash, I knew you were spelling colour just fine
I had a friend in school who was from Australia & got in an argument with the teacher over the spelling of color/colour.

Thanks guys, I was deliberating for ages on what to do, I had all these crazy ideas and then I found the pic in my kit, light bulb moment. My kids are so sweet and I am so lucky to have them. I liked that the pic was my kit one, it tied in nicely because I am so thankful to have found face painting as well.



you can see a bigger pic in my gallery, he did it on green, poor Sophie the practice head is not a fan of green and I don't think it would have been as visible.

It really didn't turn out like I'd hoped - it really needs more depth....
and someone else to paint on....lol

Love Tash, you got that beautiful stormy sky just right. It reminds me of home (we used to live in Box Hill, amazing views of the Glenorie hills). So cool.

Unfortunately I can't enter it in the snaz contest - they started that contest because I was complaining that the football season/ sports one I couldn't enter - so they made an Aussie one - but they limited how many an Aussie can enter. I felt obliged to enter as I had started the fuss so I painted a koala and a boxing Kangaroo and entered them. It was awhile ago now - and the kangaroo bites so it would of been nice to be able to enter this instead!
