Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Hi,
I've just ordered my tall directors chair! Woo hoo!!!
For all you Aussies, here is the link
http://www.redwrappings.com.au/product/Tall-Directors-Chair-1001392
It's $108.95 plus free freight - It's the cheapest I've found, especially considering free freight. One place quoted me $60ish plus $149 for the chair!!!
Cheers

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
I have been eyeing up that chair for months now. Only recently realised they shipped from Aus (even though we have a co.nz site)
To get it shipped over here is going to cost me $80+ :s I have yet to find anything over here I like as much...I am still tempted just to get it.
So wishing I was in Aussie right now!

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
When it gets here I'll measure and weigh it and get an actual postage cost if you want. Just give me your post code. I also have a friend who makes regular NZ trips for work so I could ask her if she wouldn't mind taking it with her.

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Oh my, that would be awesome if you would be willing to do that!
I would be really interested to see the price difference in shipping. Thankyou.

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Im getting that one as well... Free shipping sure beats the $600's I got quoted by a make-up company.
Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Also have you noticed that they have changed the description, it now says great for face painters and make-up artists. Someone's listening lol.
Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Mine arrived today - YAY!
Daizy, I just did a quote through Australia Post and they say $65.90 AUD to post so it's $2 AUD cheaper to get direct from Red Wrappings.
Whereabouts in NZ are you and I'll check with my friend in Melbourne.
Cheers

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Oh, thankyou for finding that out for me I think I have decided to just go for it and order straight from them.
I am about an hour north from Wellington.
....eeek, hope it is able to be sorted!

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Don't send it back, I couldn't get mine to fold with the footrest on, so I did what another FP did and left it off. The first thing my 5 yo did was try to keep his feet on the footrest and fell out of the chair. I have a set of steps that I got from bunnings that I will use to get kids in the chair.
I set my kit up this arvo and took a load of pics, so I'll get you guys to critique it for me when I get the photos on the computer (this could take a while).

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
I think that because it's faulty it needs replacing. Whether I have it on or off is not really the point, I don't want to pay over $100 for a faulty chair.
I've spoken to them and had to take pics etc. They'll get back to me tomorrow about a replacement.
I'm going to see if I can buy it at reduced rate from them instead of returning as it will cost them $47 to post it back. I know having 2 would be overkill but if I can, I will.
It's a great height chair and I'm happy with it otherwise!
My kit needs finalising, I picked up a market umbrella from the Salvos for $5, it looks brand new and is beautiful and bright. I need to get a base for it. I have my FatMax. Just the finishing touches need thinking about.
I can't wait to see your pics!!!

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Hey im thinking about buying this chair... is it worth it??
Im scared of children falling out the back and adults breaking it. Has anybody had any problems aside from the foot rest??

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Hi guys
IKEA have a folding chair that kind of colapses in half with a foot rest. I originally got it as my makeup chair for clients but now use if for both FP and makeup. I think I paid $80 about 5 years ago and now they are around $4o, dammit. It has had literally 100's of bums in it, picked up moved around, climbed on and is still going great.
I highly recommend and is a lot cheaper. x

Me too, have the IKEA one. great chair...and was cheap. Only thing is it doesn't have arms. I have had some people complain - only b/c they are wanting to relax into a chair - but it's easier for me to do clients since there's no obstruction.

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Man if i know that Ikea had a folding chair and it only cost $40 i would of brought it, i brought a black tall high directors chair from redwrapping.com.au it was free posting but i pay $106 but it not practical because every party i do i have to bolt the foot rest it takes me 10min which is really annoying because it wont fold if the foot rest bolted to chair which wastes my time

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
Just wanted to say i bought the chair from the ebay site i posted and its awesome. I love it and would recommend to anyone. If i were u i wouldnt pay that much because its the exact same chair, just costs more. Also the chair i bought is the 75cm height one which can be found from the sellers other items you wont regret it!

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
I tried the eBay site and she was out of stock and then messed me round a bit. At least I know the lady that runs this shop is a face painter and happy to support local painters
Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
I am Thinking about getting that chair to Rianna, is it the same one do you know that was at the pashur workshop?
from posts above - I really hate my current chair from red wrappings.

Re: Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA
I purchased that chair from the same ebay link a couple of months back. I like the chair, but i'm a bit too tall for it. Also my chair came wrapped in plastic...Like they literally assembled the parts of the chair while still wrapped in plastic! It took ages to get rid of the wrapping and I still have traces of plastic around the screws etc. I figured that's why the chair was discounted.
