Suggestions for my site?

I'm just getting around to building a site/blog. I know I don't have a lot of spectacular faces on there because I haven't had the Model Release Form for people to fill out. I mostly have my own kids on there for now, with a few thrown in that I know for sure whose parents won't mind. I am going to try to get more better and up-to-date pictures done, soon, but in the meantime, are there any other suggestions you might have for our site? I'm not to computer savvy, so I'm still figuring things out. I welcome any help, though.

I like how you have your price list organized. Your hand butterfly is also very pretty! I would not worry about the pictures of the kids being your own children, potential clients don't know who they are. Well, I guess your friends will but most other people will not know. It is nice...

I think about 90% of my photos are of my oldest daughter.. I kinda like that she has become the 'face' of my facepainting business.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Daizy, I do have contact info. on each of the pages that explain what we have to offer, but on the main blog page where I place blog postings, I didn't put contact info in each of the blog postings. I will update that and try to remember to do that.

An "about us" page is a great idea I didn't think of. I will try to get that done soon. I am struggling with the idea of putting photos of my children on the internet to be seen by strangers. Perhaps I could paint their faces before having someone take a family photo for the "about us" page. Do you think that would be a good idea? I also didn't put our home address on our site, just our phone numbers and email address. Do you think that's ok?

I would definitely put a picture on, whether you do just you and your husband or all of your family is up to you. If I were booking someone I'd want to know what they look like, it makes it more personal

Yes, I think adding a family photo is nice. My whole family works together and we are still having our Website built but, our fliers have a photo of us on it. That way people feel like they are sort of "meeting" you. We have had a lot of positive feed back from the photo. It is just a really small picture on the side that says family owned and operated. It has our names and what we do for the business. My kids are still pretty small, so I just put that they were assistants. I put my own picture on a lot of my things, I feel like it helps people to get to know me and see that I am a real person...but I advertise on Craig's List a lot, so, for me it also helps them know I am not a crazy ax murderer LOL! I also invite people to meet me in person before their event if they like, or to come watch me working at a public venue so they can see my art ahead of time.

Ok. I have done some updating to my site, taking all of your suggestions and adding an About Us page. I added contact information to the sidebar of the Home page. I also have our pricing information on the individual pages (Face Painting, Belly Painting, Safari Charlie).

I'm still trying to work out our pricing. I have read probably every post on the forum about pricing and have changed mine over and over, trying to get it right. I think I have it, but if anyone wants to look it over and suggest anything, I'm open to comments.

I think it needs to be written in third person or be signed off by you. You don't mention anything about your role in the business only Chuck and the kids. Great pics the text needs to be expanded though.

Thank you Netsirk. I just went back and signed everything, and I expanded a little more on the About Us page, explaining what we each do.
