Whoo Hooo! I'm so excited! After a summer of artsy painting out of my pocket, I have a paid commissioned work! It came from looking for models for my last First Friday project. A friend of a "friend" on Facebook contacted me, saying she was interested but wasn't available that day and asked if I would paint her for a fee. Um, Why Yes! I could!

She tells me she wants to do it as a birthday present for her husband. What's more is he is battling cancer. Woah. We talked a little about theme, and decided on Hot Wheels. So much fun! Yay!!!!!! bounce

Congrats!
Make sure you get written consent (if she's willing) to use the photos for websites, facebook, forums, contests, etc. Many people are ok w/ it being a private thing just for hubby, but might not be comfortable w/ it being in the public domain. If they don't consent, that's ok, but this way it's clear on if or how you can use the pics!

Most definitely on the consents. I haven't asked her yet if it's okay to use the images, and I'm hoping she'll go for it. I've only ever painted models, and in Trade For Prints, everyone gets to use the images.

I think I'll bring it up that day, but of course let her see the images and approve what might be used for public. It's what I would want if I were the model (just shuddered at that thought!)
