Hello folks!
Hi folks, I hope you're all well! I bought my first face paints at the begininng of the year and since then I've been having a ball playing around and learning how to use them. I've been checking out the site these past couple of weeks and it is certainly a wealth of information. You painters seem like a great bunch here and I've learned alot already- so thankyou.
About me:
I live in Adelaide in South Australia and im a physics student. But please dont feel sorry for me- I like maths
I love dressups -a lot! Me and closest friends are known for getting dressed up in costumes at the slightest excuse. Last year we painted our faces with left-over zinc creme, which is funny but not very , well, good. Now we have real facepaints though (yay!). These are less sticky.
On the weekends I'm a pirate. And sometimes a fairy. I work for a company which runs childrens partys. It high energy and something new is always going on- its fun.
I'd really like to improve my painting techique - I hope that as I become more confident I will start to play around more and be more creative; at the moment I am reproducing a lot of other peoples designs. I wish I could make up my own stuff but it comes out funny, so at the moment I'm being patient and PRACTISING. I'll get there.
I'm looking forward to learning more.
Cheers,
Elli

Re: Hello folks!
Gidday & welcome to the group from Cradle Mountain, Tasmania Australia.
Hi Elli,
A great way to get hands on technique is to do a workshop. I think there is quite a network of face painters in Adelaide. Have you heard of Gaynor from www.spectrumfaceandbodyart.com.au she sells alot of TAG paints & runs workshops. I've also just been to Sydney to do a Wolfe Bros workshop & met a couple of Adelaide painters there. Hope this helps.
