season

is the gig season just about over till fall? I just can't find anything for aug or sept. I work at the Texas Rennisance fEstival in a friends booth all of october and nov. so that puts me out of circuit for 2 months.

I guess it would depend on your area.... my gig season doesn't even START until late May, so it stays busy here until September, kind of lulls Oct, Nov... then gets busy again for xmas parties.

August, September and October are great months in my part of the NorthEast. In Massachusetts, we have lots of festivals starting in mid-Aug throughout the Fall.

I do mainly birthday parties... I like it better because it's not seasonal(kids are born every month:-)

you'd think it wouldn't be seasonal, but most parents around here only do big parties during the times when the weather is nice enough to throw all the kids outside... so it's still significantly slower Jan to Mar/Apr. Many parents here, if they do a party, will do it somewhere like Chuck E Cheese or something during the winter months so that the kids aren't all in their house. So again, it depends on where you are.

FL only gets cold late Dec - late Feb, so we still do outdoor stuff all year round. I've noticed more people are doing at home, indoor parties in the winter months. Economy?
