Hi, y'all, from L.A. (Lower Alabama)! Empty Hi, y'all, from L.A. (Lower Alabama)!

I've been lurking about for a week or two, thank goodness I found y'all! Like another newbie, I got drafted about two months ago to do some face painting for the local Relay for Life. I thought, 'Oh no, another day of rainbows and unicorns on tiny little cheeks!' Then a friend, who had just gotten back from Disney World, showed me some photos of the face paintings they were doing there - and I was inspired! OK, I admit that I was in a time crunch and ran out to the local WalMart and bought face paint (on sale), and I thought, 'we're in business now!' There was no way we came close to those photos, even though we practiced and practiced. So I did some more research, and I was absolutely blown away by what I found! I have ordered and ordered, and practiced and practiced! Now if there were only a market for 'fantasy face painting' this in this part of the world! Still have to work on that!

Many times being the only one in the biz can really work to your advantage. Price yourself reasonably and advertise everywhere you can (preferably for free Very Happy ) You'll be surprised how word of mouth spreads.
