My only feedback is on the diner one, I would take out "50's" and either just leave diner or change to drive-thru or drive-in since back in the 50's they wouldn't have
called it a "50's diner" or perhaps am I being too literal?

It should be "GreasED lightning" But other than that they look really great!

Well, sorry to say, today turned out horrible, I painted two tigers, two ice creams, a beach eye (on a boy), a spider man eye, and some nautical stars. That was it, only made enough to pay for gas!
I think I am more upset that i spent all that time coming up with 50's designs and I did not get to do but one, the nautical stars.
On a positive note, there were some really cool cars, and the pulled pork rocked! Live music was really good to.
I dont think I will be vendoring for this event next year, not enough kids.
Oh, another really good thing....The vendor next to us, hosts a festival at a kids skate park next sat. and invited me to be a vendor. She said there are tons of kids at this thing. All I have to do is make a small donation for my booth. So I plan on doing that next sat. It is about an hour and a half drive from my house, so I hope its worth it. I have had the worst month for making money.

Sorry to hear you had a "bongo" I had one this weekend too....been planning an event for over a month. We were invited by a speedway to paint and tattoo. They told us the space was free and space was limited to first come first served. So we drove over an hour and a half away on Friday night to get a good space, had to pay for a hotel (in advance) for Friday and Saturday night, plus gas, plus food. We even designed and cut special stencils for this event. We got up at 6 am to go back to the speed way to finish setting up (we didn't leave all of our equipment overnight) Once we arrived we were told we had to PAY ADMISSION into the event (as if we were there to enjoy the festivities) This was a HUGE fee. So, I called the person I originally spoke with thinking this may be a mistake on the ticket booths' part, and he said to me "Yes, your set up is free, everyone has to pay admission" I let him know he should have told us that prior to the event, and if he had we would have passed. I then let him know we were leaving. Had we have paid the admission, we would be working out in the heat all weekend, to MAYBE break even. It was better to cut the loss where it was and walk away. I know from now on, I will interrogate anyone who invites us for "free". I should have seen it coming.

So sorry. Festivals can be a tricky business. I now ask for what the total amount of people are expected to be(how many came last year). How many will be kids. What's the demographics(mostly drinking young adults or family crowd?).
The good news is you got a gig off of it. Hopefully it will bring in enough to replace what you lost this weekend.
I had a bunk weekend too... With a little sunshine & some major thunderstorms.
