Funny, that never stopped me from talking a lot
Re: Be honest with me....
Got my new face painting practice head in the mail today! Whoo hoo! Now I don't have to wash my face (baby wipe it) 20 times a day!

Re: Be honest with me....
My practice head is named Sally Stains... LOL! I gave up trying to keep her looking new.
Re: Be honest with me....
LOL, they weren't kidding about that Wolfe Black. Wow. Looks like I never even tried to remove it! I ordered two more "skins" for it today and will stay away from the black, if I can. I'll use my "Sally Stains" (gotta steal that) for my black line practice and my tigers/leopards.

Re: Be honest with me....
There are several threads on here that talk about how to best care for practice heads and skins so that the staining is kept to a minimum. Here the likes to a couple:

Yes I am, but I'm rarely ever on there anymore. There seems to be WAY more drama on there than there is here. The people on this forum are SOOOO nice, they're the most wonderful people in the world. On clown forum, there are some nasty characters... people that no one likes and who are downright rude and harrass other forum members. Two very good friends of mine on that forum left for that reason - they were sick of it or were the target of those unsavory forum members. Plus, the chat room there has gone down the tubes...IMHO. It's just not a fun forum for me anymore... I still pop in now and then, but that's maybe once or twice a month. I like this forum SOOOOOOOOOOO much better!

Re: Be honest with me....
I don't go on there much, either. I do know what you are talking about, however. I just don't feel like I know enough about clowning OR facepainting to make any comments or suggestions, so I pretty much just lurk and ask a question now and again.
Seems that most forums get wrapped up in drama sooner or later. Glad to hear that this one has escaped that!

Life has to much natural drama to try & create it. I'm so thankful for finding this forum 1st! So happy for all you, non-drama types!!!

I think it is a great mask, very well done, my only OPINION (not saying I'm right...but my opinion) is to have a little more contrast in a design. A more vibrant or darker shade for the mask lined with white, or a lighter mask with darker curls/swirls. If I am using pink for eg, I will use a vibrant pink as opposed to pastel pink and line it with white and I'll add purple or black lowlights to the curls and swirls.
If I use the pastel pink for a mask, then I will line it with a darker colour like black or drk purple and highlight with white. Not sure if that makes sense but...I love the mask and that would be the only suggestion I could come up with.
Great job, and you will never be happy with your work, we all critique ourselves to the moon, as you and others have said, as long as your boss (the child in the chair) is happy, then you are good. Take their smiles and praise as fact, they are unbiased and children tell the truth...trust me, they'll tell you if you need improvement LOL
Keep practicing and aiming to improve and that is wonderful!
