Hello from Texas
Hello everyone,
My name is Tasha. Last month my children and I attended a school carnival and I was fascinated by the Face Painter. As I stood in line for 2 hours (the children played while I waited), I knew this was something I wanted to try my hand at. I've been painting for almost a month now and I don't know what will become of it, but I certainly enjoy it. I've attempted to mimic a few of the avatars on this site...lol....so if you see a pic in my gallery that looks like yours, please don't be upset...you are my inspiration! So many talented people here! I have learned alot by just browsing here and reading the post and going to recommended pages. I figured I'd finally introduce myself and say "thank you" to everyone for making this site so great!

Thank you! I'm still trying to find "my" techinique so it is easier to recreate than it is to create.

Re: Hello from Texas
Thank you! The pics in my gallery are my first attempt at each design. I saved them as "1st day" & "2nd day", because that is exactly what they are...my day 1 & day 2 attempts at what I know will be a life-long love. The only one I've done twice is the Spidey mask, and that was only because I had a cousin over. My kids are so picky they won't let me do the same face twice. Thanks again for the warm welcome.Mandi from Tazzie wrote:Hi Tasha,

Re: Hello from Texas
Hi Monique-
Welcome! Have fun, keep experimenting.....it took me more than a year before I got really brave and wanted to sketch my own designs and do them on people's face. It's like a version of stage fright. Keep painting and learning about your colors, placement, thin to thick and thick to thin lines and it will all come to you!
Enjoy the paint under your fingernails!!!!
