Aloha from Maui Empty Aloha from Maui

Post by twinkletattoos Sun May 02, 2010 8:32 am

Aloha!

I'm not a face painter--yet--I currently do Glitter Tattoos and Mica Tattoos.
I also own and operate bouncy castle business with my husband and that is how I got started on my glitter journey.
My goal for 2010 is to learn how to paint simple eye designs so I can add this to our services for the party rental company. I am artistically challenged, but hope to overcome this. haha I love you

Hi, and welcome from Kat in New Zealand! How great that you do glitter tatts! I learned how to do those in a workshop a couple of months ago, but then haven't done any since. Dying to do some more, though.

Kat I love you

The glitter tats are perfect for our bouncy parties. That is another reason I'm hesitant to offer face painting. My poor husband would be stuck cleaning up that mess.

Any good suggestions for sweat proof paints?

Hi and welcome to the group.
Any paint that is sweat proof will not allow the skin to breath.
Doesn't your husband ever wash the castles?
A bit of paint that wipes off has got to be better then half the things kids get all over them and must distribute throughout your castles....no?

We always clean and sanitize our castles. We use Odoban which smells great and keeps the kids from getting sick. I just can't imagine my husband having to clean up all those extra colors and I'm worried about the paint staining the vinyl especially on the lighter colors.

I've seen some really nasty bouncy castles before and I'm proud to say we have the cleanest in our area.

You can do it!!! Get those brushes and paint and start painting your arms and legs!!! Plenty of ideas here!

I agree that the tatts are probably a better medium so you aren't removing sweaty paint off your inflatables! But good to expand the skills to open more opportunities to market yourself! : ) Beware , it is addictive.... Wink
