Peacock baby bump
This is the one I've been looking forward to. The mom to be is a pregnant model and she had a dream about a peacock. So I suggested we paint her with one.
I started with a white outline to sketch out the design. I then started painting the peacock head with DFX metallic blue, black and white. I used paradise light brown for the eye and beak. I used DFX metallic green and blue together on a brush for the scales and then used inf bronze in the centre and outlined in DFX black. I used inf silver green sponged on for the background of the big feathers. I wiped away a spot for the glitter glue and started with the feather 'eye' centre and worked my way out. I then painted some paradise light brown lines and DFX metallic green lines around the 'eyes'. I added a white stripe for the spine of the feather. I used inf bronze & copper on a brush for the 'brown' feathered wings. I added a little bit of DFX brown and white for contrast. I used paradise light brown, DFX black and white for the 'head dress'. I added glitter glue and royal, black and ocean glitter for the tufted end.
I repeated the process for her eye area. Someone on this forum suggested using a lint roller to remove excess glitter and boy howdy did it work great! Thanks!!
It took about 3 hours and then we had photos done in a studio. I should get them in about a week. It sure was fun! This forum has been awesome for tips on how to do this. Thanks especially to Cat for the glitter tattoo tips. I tinted my glue and am loving using glitter.

Picture #2 is my favorite!!! They look great!
I've got my next stab at the glitter/body thing scheduled. We live, we learn. And I'm really excited!

Thanks! I just found out they want to use it on the www.bodyssey.ca website. Not sure when, but it's quite an honour for me

Hey Metzpah, what does 'via Vancouver, BC' mean on your profile? Are you from here originally?
Re: Peacock baby bump
Aww...it's a great place to live for sure. Let me know if you ever come back for a visit. It'd be cool to meet you.

Re: Peacock baby bump
Thanks Ashley! I use the lint roller all the time now. I did a glitter tattoo the other day for the Heart & Stroke Foundation fundraiser and it really came in handy.
