Flowers and Rainbows
Just wanted to show my new design, it’s colourful and very popular with the young girls and their parents. Best of all I can do it in about 2 minutes (not counting the butterfly). My first 3 day gig may have been a bust financially but I got some good practice out of it.
The flower are all done with a double loaded brush.

Sorry your gig was a bust, but it happens to us all. If you like doing rainbows like this either make or buy yourself a NEON rainbow cake. They are fabulous and really pop.
Nice job on the double loads! Mine never turn out!

Re: Flowers and Rainbows
You need a butterfly brush... it'll make the butterfly part just as fast as the rest of it. AND they're great for wiggly 2 yr olds that aren't sure they want to get painted but mom wants them to... put one on their hand and they are SO happy.

Re: Flowers and Rainbows
Thanks for the comments, I don't mind constructive criticism, it is one of the reasons for putting things up.
I will try a neon cake next time I place an order, but I am a little worried about it over powering the flowers, unless I make them neon as well.
I also have previous been experimenting with butterfly brushes and seeing if I can double load them as well. I like my butterflies with a pearl wing base, fading into a darker blue or purple edge. However I have not been able to get a consistent result, only about 1 in 4 gives me the result I want.

I see what you're talking about. I bet double loading the fan brush will give you that effect. I've not actually done it, but I imagine if you first load the pearly base color and then the purpley color on the tip of the fan, you could get the same effect.
To add to the design, I love to put little dots near the design elements. It's an easy way to make it look fancier, but is way easy.

Very Pretty.
To get yourself extra practise use your arm.
I put some of my practises in my album so you can see what I mean
Cheers
