SCAM ALERT

Got a text. The grammar was a little off, but I am in an ethnically diverse area...FLORIDA, so I wasn't suspicious at first.
YES, I accept credit cards, but only after you pay a non-refundable booking fee either in cash or by check. When your check clears, the event is booked. You may pay using SQUARE at the event.
- He texted that square would "...not remit."
- ignored my request for his email so I could send an INVOICE for him to fill out & return
with info & fee.
- wanted my credit info
I texted:
If you can't send me the deposit & give me your info, but want my credit card info: then this is a SCAM!!! Goodbye

Whoa, that is so not cool.

This is not the first time I heard of this.
