Hello from Michigan, USA!
Hi everyone!
I am a mom of two little boys and also a teacher. I started face painting about a year ago as a new hobby. I am not an artist, nor do I want this to be a side career but I do enjoy volunteering to do it as part of fundraising for my favorite charities and groups. We are also trying out balloon twisting with my 7 year old! I would love to learn tricks and hints of how to get the always long line down, paint faster, and better. I look forward to reading the many posts around the forum.

Re: Hello from Michigan, USA!
welcome, september, there are lots of tips to read here, hope you find lots of ideas.
my 2 cents on getting better is to buy good face paints and good brushes to practice with, don't practice with low grade supplies.
to get faster, keep your designs simple, with elements you can do well. avoid lots of tiny details and straight lines!
also, use only a few kinds of brushes and master what you can do with them, rather than switching brushes a lot while painting a design.
you can do almost all the strokes you need with several different sizes of round or angled flat brushes.

Re: Hello from Michigan, USA!
Hi September...Welcome to the forum. When I started 5 years ago, I only saw acrylic paint in local craft stores. DO NOT USE THOSE!!! You can find most of what you need here at the FPF Shop. Use the search button above, Google & don't forget YouTube.
