Peppa Pig?!?
I've had a client ask if I can do some peppa pig themed designs for boys and girls.... Has anyone ever seen/done/ can think of a good peppa pig themed design?!
So far all I can imagine is like a white teardrop and flower crown with peppa's face in the middle (going to try it out today) but to say I'm stumped is an understatement!
All help appreciated

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
haven't done any myself but what comes to mind is substituting peppa pig and friends for other characters in designs (a bit tongue in cheek) - ie in place of a unicorn, or a hello kitty face for girls; instead of a dinosaur or a batman mask for boys, etc.
there are lots of animals to choose from, so you could use the peppa pig style animal characters in your usual animal designs or faces.

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
That's a good idea, I'm struggling to make them look good as a whole mask/ face.
The characters are so plain that if you leave them plain they look dull and if you dress them up they don't look like Peppa pig characters anymore
I came up with a sort of crowny thing but I feel like Peppa is a bit lost in the middle, might try and find a baby pink thats a shade brighter than what I used (TAG Pearl Blush).

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
i think you're on to something, use bright cartoon colors and linework if they tend to be simple characters.
what about adding things from the show? i looked at some google images and noticed birthday balloons, clouds, hot air balloon, ice cream cones, picnic foods, etc. maybe you could incorporate them somehow.
and i don't think dressing up the characters a little is a problem, or you could add details and other elements around the characters, rather than on them.
i don't see many face painting designs for peppa pig characters online, maybe you could pioneer them

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
I've tried to put a picture in above... hopefully it works! I think I'm going to try and get hold of some Chameleon Candy floss as it looks like the perfect colour for her face so she'll pop a bit more!
Love the idea of the balloons, clouds etc! That's given me a host of ideas.
Haha I like that, might add 'peppa pig specialist' to my business cards
I think I'll post up what I come up with here for future reference for people!
Re: Peppa Pig?!?
oh that's so pretty! i agree she could be a bit brighter to stand out, but i love the layout and colors. looking forward to seeing your other ideas

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
So after a lot of playing around I've got a few!
The crown with the character in the middle is definitely a winner.
Please excuse the awful teardrops - can NOT do them on my own face. I will definitely scale back the black and white dots when I use it... I went a bit crazy

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
Then I've tried almost all of the characters to make masks... most were a disaster! To keep the feel of the character it has to be so simple I felt they just looked really amateurish. BUT I did find 2 that I liked,
Freddy Fox
And Suzy Sheep

This one I actually really liked, I don't feel the picture did it justice, I used Tag pearl white and pearl pinks to make it really glitzy and lots of holographic glitter. I would make the bow bigger too, and possibly make it smaller on the face.
I also experimented with balloons and kites and I think you could do something really nice with that but couldn't translate it onto my own face! Hope this helps someone in the future!!

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
nice work, those are great! the crown looks good with colors that complement the character and the masks turned out well with the colors you used and the details. good technique, too

Re: Peppa Pig?!?
Hope OK to revive older threads, but just wanted to say that the Suzy sheep mask you did could easily be presented as Lamby from Disney Juniors Doc McStuffins with no changes. If you were to create a blue dragon counterpart for Stuffy they would be a lovely pair to offer.
Nicely done!

Hi imladris, I've never seen Doc Mcstuffins but I've just looked it up and you're very right! Thanks for the tip there
