"I want all the pieces!"

Little boy, maybe 4 walks up to me at last week's restaurant gig. He checks out my boards .Nods solemnly and comes up to me.
Me: Hi sweetie. Did you find something you want?
Little boy: "Yup. I want a dog. I want a police dog. I want a blue police dog. I want a blue police dog with pointy ears. He better have all the pieces too."
By this time, I'm desperately trying not to laugh. His mom is sitting at the table with her face in her hands whispering 'in so sorry he's always like this.' The kid is ssitting on my stool, looking at me. I could hold it no longer and busted out laughing.
Me: "ok, I got it little man, let's get started huh?" (still grinning my a++ off)
Little boy: Yeah. My dad has a police dog, he has all the pieces, make sure you paint all the pieces."
*falls in a heap laughing*
The best part was that he wasn't being bratty or snotty, he was dead serious that his dog have " all its peices", meaning feet, body, tail, ears.
Kid was awesome, there should be a world full of 4 year olds just like him.

too funny, kids say the darndest things. cute that he wanted a dog like his dad.

No freaking way!!! If the world were full of kids like him, face painters everywhere would be spending lots of time painting all the pieces.

I wouldn't understand what pieces he was talking about, I will be freaking out.
