Illusion magazine

Hey all!

Does anyone have old issues of Illusion they would like to sell? Even if they are well loved, I might be interested, I saw a few in person at the end of last season and they are beautiful! I am wishing I would have been buying them. So I thought I'd check here and see if anyone has any to get rid of before I go elsewhere.

Oh my GOODNESS. I just got back from Vegas, and bought the Summer and Winter 09 issues - I can't wait to go through them properly! So I don't have any to sell, but I had to say how much I already love the copies I have...haha.

Nice flamingo Krystal! I wish someone would do a flames tutorial...hint hint..

Ahaha Thanks!! Brian Wolfe painted that on me - I KNOW!! I did not want to take it off, but I may have not gotten through airport security if I'd kept it on

I plan on practicing like a crazy person and once I know what I'm doing, I can share!

You know something funny? I crossed the border back into Canada with my face done courtesy of a Wolfe Bros prostetics class at FABBULAS. I wasn't sure if they'd let me, they certainly SHOULDN'T have, but I'm glad they did. I'm lucky I got a good gaurd. Most of them don;t have a sense of humour. Here's a picture of how I looked.

That looks nothing like your passport picture I bet! I thought going through customs wearing a tall cat in the hat hat was a tad risky! The customs officer asked us why the hats and my husband says, because we are big goofs! But having gone back and forth quite a bit I must say going back into Canada, the guards are a wee bit better natured

The guards I saw yesterday on both sides Canada & US had no sense of humour.

Welcome back Kristal! Can't wait to hear how Vegas was for you. Maybe I could come visit you in March during spring break. My husband will be home for 2 weeks so I can 'get away'. I got a tonne of experience painting flames this past week between the 'Abbotsford Heat' games and the Olympics torch relay. I watched Mark Reid's 'Boys will be boys' video and he has a small tutorial on flames there.

With the exception of the logo one, all these are 'quick' designs. Flames are a series of 'U's and 'S's.



PS. CAFABA has announced the Calgary event is at the end of August! Yay!!

Yes, we should get together! Vegas was just amazing. I finally uploaded pix to Facebook early this morning - take a look! I'll hopefully get to post a few on here soon, but FB is good for now.
