Re: Vote Now! Ends March 14th
Today is the last day to vote. I will be working on this on Monday as I have an all day event tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone!
All the large photos are all available for viewing on our FB page or on the "Post here" threads.

I do appreciate everyone's great attitude regarding the 20 post requirement. Let's keep in mind that the forum is free, the challenges are free and the prizes are free even though hours are spent and $$ to keep it up and running and AD FREE. I realize it might take an extra 5 minutes to look through posts, but your help and understanding in this matter is a testament to your maturity and professionalism. Thank you for all you do!
Namaste!

Re: Vote Now! Ends March 14th
True it's not that bad looking at the forum posts, but trying to shift through the face book page is a pain in the butt. With so many entries and another contest going on at the same time it was a chore. Took like 20 min just to track everything down (woe to those who have a slower internet connection then me or a lagging computer), also face book scrolling just LOVES to mess up and go all 'repeat' on you whenever it feels like it. Not even gonna go into trying to do it on a mobile device.
Some one already offered to do this work for free (get all the large photos in one place), why not take them up on it? We all want to help and we know the website is a lot of work. If it means the votes can be more fair and certain peoples entries don't get cut off for the misfortune of being placed on the far right of the thumb nail image, then why not delegate?

Re: Vote Now! Ends March 14th
Actually they said "send me the pictures" and I will do it. The pulling and sending of the pictures IS all of the work. Anyone can do a "save as" on the photos and put a collage and repost if they choose to do so--actually I encourage it so that you can see the amount of time involved.
Entrants can also repost their images under the voting thread or a link if they would like to. Next time I will make the voting only 3 wide with larger pics. Unfortunately with the 1000 of monitors, tablets and phones, someone is always going to have a problem. They show up totally fine on my computer.
While I totally understand that it is easier to complain rather than to appreciate all the hard work, negativity helps no one and hurts everyone's experience.
Again, that you for your support. Namaste!

I'm pretty sure it was a silly little mistake, but I think you meant "Fluttershy"
Anyway, congratulations to Debra

Re: Vote Now! Ends March 14th
Sorry, my mistake. Well why not have them do that? [ie: track down and post all the photos]
Don't you have to hunt down all the photos to make the thumb nail photo any way? Only takes 2 seconds to right click and copy the URL to a note pad to send to her.
I know making a new image with all the photos is a lot of work, but posting the links is way less work. Heck I can do that. You know what I'll just do that from now on because I have to track down each image to properly vote anyway, I don't mind doing it if it will help other people.
Don't misunderstand me Matina, I totally understand the work involved. I currently own 2 forums of my own with over 1000 members, and have in the past created and owned 4 other forums with even more members (I gave away those older ones to others to focus more on my main forums). Some of the first forums I owned were started as far back as 2004.Just sayin' I have a lot of experience with this, and I fully understand the work involved.
We run weekly contests in the forums, have post applications to join, hold votes, update member titles, links, host games, and give away free stuff all the time. I'm so lucky I have a dedicated volunteer staff that help me out with everything as I would be swamped with out them.
I know just how much work this all takes, and i truly do and can appreciate it. So it goes without saying - Thank you for all the hard work that we all know you do.
I'm not trying to 'complain', or trying to be negative, that was never my intent and I'm sorry if you are feeling defensive. I felt more like I was giving constructive feedback, like a suggestion box, as my only interest is to open a dialogue and toss around some ideas that could help the forum. This is something I value in my own forums, as well as in my business. I'm sorry if you were offended. Again, this was not my intent.
You know what, how about I just post links & photos as a new comment for the next contest. I have experience doing this, and an efficient formula with HTML code so it doesn't take forever (and i would have to look up all the photos anyway to feel like i'm giving a fair vote), so it's no trouble really. I'm glad to help in any way that I can to help the forum and it's members.

Re: Vote Now! Ends March 14th
Great! Sounds fabulous! I am limited by my technological background and would love for someone to step up--looking forward to it!
However, wear your thick skin. People are now going to complain about having to click on each link. After a bit of time on the earth, you begin to realize that you really can't please everyone. Tickets on the complain train just seem to be so much cheaper and easier to obtain than those for the praise train!
Even if you are the juiciest, sweetest peach...there is still someone who isn't going to like peaches.
Best of luck with your endevour!
PS What are your forums? We would love to check out what you are doing over there!

Thank you, looking forward to it.
No worries about a thick skin, after all I'm a face painter, patience is in my blood lol.
Also being a forum owner for 10+ years I've learned to view 'complaints' as suggestions and not take them personally. I also used to be a professional live stage manager for many many years, organization is in my blood, and trust me that job was WAY more stressful then face painting, pretty much if anyone had a problem they came to me with it (even when they shouldn't have). I've learned it's not about building up a thick skin, it's learning to flow with it like water. So maybe it's more like having feathers! lol 'Water off a ducks back. :p
