Chinese Dragon
My latest project--I had four days to make a Chinese Dragon head for the New Year Celebration at my daughters school. No idea how to do it--just start and with help from my hubby (on how to do the scales) I finished it a day early and then missed the actual performance by 2 hours (the take home paper said 3--they did it at 1)--Green is the school color so that is why it isn't a more tradition color. It give a clue about the size my sister in law who is about 5'7" is holding it up-

Re: Chinese Dragon
Yes--the dollar store had a deal on green tinsel, but it did come with shamrocks--I tried to cut some of them off--but after 2 1/2 days of nothing but this and my newborn (with a few microwaved meals) I was ready to be done!! Good eyes!

That is FABULOUS!
When my children were small, I was thrilled if I got to brush my teeth.
You are amazing!

Was you're daughter crying? Reminds me of the time my witch teacher in kindergarden had us do the Halloween parade with the 3rd graders which was early. None of us student's had our costume...
I remember crying to that Q_Q All the parents of the kinders were furious though! xD

Re: Chinese Dragon
Thanks all
My kids weren't actually involved with the performance (other than watching it). It was harder for me I think that I missed it! It is a pride thing to see your work in action.
I am one of the more creative people (if I do say so myself) So I am often asked to do these things-which I enjoy--I just normally like more time to prepare and do.

Re: Chinese Dragon
Well do you think your kids know any other kids who's parent perhaps videotaped the performance? Maybe you can hook up with them to get a copy of the video.

Re: Chinese Dragon
I asked around, but there were only pictures taken--I am ok with it--they said they were going to keep it for next year so I hopefully will see it then!

Hey Amy!
You ARE creative! and did such a wonderful job on this!
I miss being on the forum...so much has been happening, but someday I hope to get back here.
You were always such a special part of it to me...we had some good times with "the group" back then didn't we?!
Take care! and keep on creating, my friend!
