Greetings & Happy Holidays!
Hello everyone out there in Face Paint Forum Land!!!
My name is Tiffany Tieche (tif), I live in Minnesota, and I am a recent return to the face painting world after a hiatus of almost 2 decades. Boy have things changed too! I was a teenager when I was last doing face painting at church and school fairs; but it was no more than simple cheek art back then. Wow! Just loving every minute of it now! Can't get enough and I can't believe I gave it up all those years ago.
I am continually amazed by all the talented artists out there! It's hard to even chose favorites because there are so many!!! I am still learning a lot every day. The whole "One Stoke" phenomenon is brilliant! Plus, with resources like YouTube, Facebook, and websites such as this one, there's so much information to be had. When I'm not working my regular job, you can bet I'm watching videos on the latest tricks, looking for inspiration, or working hard to fill my calendar with gigs for the upcoming summer.
I recently started a blog on my website called "Daily Doodles". I do a doodle each day, highlight different products, brushes, techniques, sources for inspiration, etc. I share with you my successes, trials, what I have learned through practice, and whatever else comes along. I also provide links to where I purchased the items I used so you can find them easily. It's a "Newbies" perspective geared to other "Newbies" out there. (Of course anyone can enjoy them too.) It's where can experiment with different approaches, techniques, etc. I always look forward to your comments, feedback, insights, ideas, etc. too! Sometimes the best way to learn is by sharing with your peers.
Anyway... Just thought I would share that little tidbit of harmless self promotion with you all. My website is the same as my username if you want to check out my blog.
I look forward to chatting with you all in the future and sharing ideas, tips, tricks, good finds, etc.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
Keep creating, keep smiling, keep dreaming,

Re: Greetings & Happy Holidays!
Thanks so much jlirie~
I just like to share my ups and downs with all the other newbies out there. Some things I'm good at, others... well, not quite yet. It's all part of the adventure. Just happy there is this great resource called the Internet where we can all share and learn from each other. There is so much talent and inspiration out there.
Thanks again for your post & kind words. Happy 2015!

Re: Greetings & Happy Holidays!
i've been practicing more by participating in the "tag you're it" thread, and your daily doodles makes me think i should set myself a goal of practicing designs on a regular basis. thanks..

Re: Greetings & Happy Holidays!
Thanks jlirie~ If I run into days where I can't practice, I spend at least a few minutes watching how-to videos and/or looking for inspiration to add to my future practice sessions.
I just signed up for the "Tag You're It" thread last week too. It's fun to have someone give you the topic and present your interpretation. It's lends itself well to practicing for face painting gigs too, since you always have those customers asking for something special. Your Frozen profile pic is awesome by the way. Really well done.

Re: Greetings & Happy Holidays!
thanks on the profile pic compliment. that was actually my first try, and took way longer than it should, as all firsts do, lol.

Re: Greetings & Happy Holidays!
Hello Kris5115~
Yay! A fellow Minne"snow"tan!
Where do you live? I am about 1 hour southwest of the Twin Cities. If you're ever looking to connect to practice and share ideas, let me know. I also have some larger summer gigs coming up that I would like to find another painter to share the events with. Feel free to send me a PM here if you want to exchange emails & phone numbers.
Thanks for the post and reaching out to me.
Hope you're keeping warm ~ It's brutal out there today!
