I'm Kim from NY. Been lurking here from time to time. Started face painting at one of our school fall festivals and loved it. I don't paint professionally, just for our school functions and plays, my BIL firehouse xmas party, fun, therapy (only when practicing lol).

You are all so amazing! Love everyone's creativity and learning techniques... I've invested in some paints and books for learning past few years. Online video tutorials are amazing too. I am not artistic one bit. Lord knows I can only draw stick figures on paper, but have some ability to face paint as a hobby :-). I'm married, work full time in an office and have 2 young boys so not a lot of time on my hands.

Welcome all!! NY--as in Inner city, or surrounding area?

Your starting talent level sounds a lot like me, but don't worry, keep working and you will get better! (both at drawing and face painting) Smile
