Face Painting at a gypsy party

My mother turn 70 over the weekend and she organised a gypsy night to celibrate. It was held in a old barn converted into a tavern, set in a very remote bushland area. A 5 piece gypsy band was organised and all the relatives and locals dressed up as gypsy. The party lasted for about 6 hours of music and dance.

My sister is a professional face painter, and the reason why I decided to pick this hobby. But I have not had a chance to sit down with her and paint since I started. So we agreed to setup shop and paint at the party. A big change for me as I only get to paint little kids. I just worked out we painted with barely a break for about 6 hours. The first hour was young kids, then most of the night as a group of teenage girls coming back over and over again, until there was no uncovered skin left to paint (almost, we where a big novelty for them). After they left the adults decided to give it a go, and finally some grandparent decide to have some fun.

As we were not charging we just had fun, experimented a bit, swaping patterns and colors.

I did not get many photo as we where have too much fun painting but here are a few I did get.
