Re: How I store my tools......
Bight colored clean looking case. Plastic = easy to clean.
If it were me I'd want more access to my one strokes. I hate having to 'fish' for things lol.
While sea sponge can give a cool effect I find it's a paint vampire and hard to clean (also they never really look clean from the start, which i never liked). They can also leave behind little bits in your paint. IMO they work better with acrylics. A similar effect can be done using those half moon yellow sponges you have.
Or better yet, this is what we use in the makeup industry
It's an orange stipple sponge. Easy to clean and produces a great effect!
Love your sponge bag BTW, perfect. Make sure to have a 2nd empty one for used sponges.
Last but not least I would secure those brushes a bit better. They have way too much room to move around, rub bristles against each other, and have the tips bump into the side of the case.
A quick fix for this would be to put an elastic band around them and wrap a wash cloth around them. That will keep the buggers safe while in transit.
Thanks for sharing!

Awesome!! you're GOOD! hahah...
I will try and find that sponge....(where do I buy that?)
Good idea on the wrapping it. I'll make sure I wrap it....I thought of that too but didn't think of wrapping it with paper towel or wash clothes.
thank you!

Re: How I store my tools......
Happy to help. and thanks! ^.^
I went to school and have a degree in FX makeup for fashion and film.
You can get that sponge at a well stocked makeup retailer. Or else you can special order it Online. I have several for all my makeup kits. Though i find i use it mostly in my FX kit for applying fake sweat for movie gigs lol.
Yeah just wrap the brushes in a wash cloth. Bonus is you can use the same cloth on your table to rest your brushes on.

Re: How I store my tools......
Dark cloths beat out white ones for sure. But if you can find a colorful pattern cloth you'll be laughing.

Re: How I store my tools......
I don't use wolf. I know they are suposed to be basically the same as tag and DFX but honestly i found them a bit gummy, and they turned into tar way too easily. I would say that DFX and Tag are the most a like IMO.
Re: How I store my tools......
yes wolfe does turn into tar lol! I hate when it does..coz i bought the pallet kit thingy...i had to dry it out by not closing the lid for two days for it to harden...
well right now i'm only using DFX and TAG...i still have the wolfe's kit..a little...
i just like tag's rectangle shape...it's prettier when i store it imo.. i dunno i might buy some more DFX in the future..right now i only use black and white DFX..

Re: How I store my tools......
it's basically the same (DFX and TAG) even the same containers lol. But DFX is more expensive and has some colors tag doesn't, and tag also has some colors DFX doesn't.
Re: How I store my tools......
wait DFX has the rectangles ones?

Re: How I store my tools......
yes but only for rainbow cakes
link
They are the same size as the TAG and the lids are interchangeable, same with their round containers and their one strokes.

Re: How I store my tools......
if you end up not liking the pink and red plain, you could try mixing them with other colors to lighten them up or change the hue - add white, add yellow or orange, mix pink & red, add blue to make purple, etc.
just do a test first with small samples to see if it works. with snazaroo, for example, mixing some colors gives a muddy or grayish result, depending on the pigments.

I went to walmart, got this cool box..but after putting it on there..I feel like it's not right...I can fit about 15 paints in one box...but I don't know it doesn't feel right..it's not as pretty as everyone else's lol! is the tag case the best? coz I see most of face painters has that

Re: How I store my tools......
I've always liked my black Tag Laptop cases. You can buy them empty with incerts or completely empty and you also get them without the tag logo on them.
