So disappointed I understand not wanting to show the techniques of the artists, but they could do a little better job at showing the painting.

Awe, they don't show the good stuff?

Not really... They're really only showing the winner's work and just quick glances at the rest, and of course the drama. They need to make it more like face-off, where the contestants actually get to talk about their work.

Sadness, more reality tv bs drama.

I don't get that channel.

Dutch Bihary is on the show. Not sure if he is on the forum, but most people have seen his videos and are probably friends with him on Facebook. 

I will definitely be watching the show.

He won the first challenge! His work is amazing!!!!

I know he has classes on FABA TV, but I have not yet invested in that - hope to soon though.

I know Dutch, Aryn and I hung out with him a bit when he was here in Canada doing some class's for our school. Everyone wanted to talk to him about airbrush, while we wanted to know more about FACE PAINT lol... well and airbrush. Really cool guy, very laid back. Can't wait to see how editing makes him look. I saw in the teaser he said something insulting that made him sound like an A$$, but he explained on FB he was talking about his own work! lol

Just keep in mind guys that editing cuts a different picture then what really probably took place.

I'm on the show Its really exciting to see it actually on TV! The first episode had 10 painters, its hard to focus on all of us and our techniques in 40 mins of air time. Keep watching, the challenges and paint jobs, only get better.

Who won really surprised me, I thought Dutch or Felle Really had it in the bag. Their concepts were great! I loved Dutches painting, i loved the colors, the placement how it all worked together. LOVED the apples. But I'm also a West Coaster so I relate a lot with it lol. Not a fan of Detroit but Felle REALLY impressed me with the concept and color choices. It was clean, focused, and had soul and a personal story feel too it, and WOW to limit your colors like that was a big risk but it SO worked. Because of that i really thought he would have taken it.

Who lost sadly didn't shock me in the least. Didn't meet the criteria and it was boring. Really a Jersey and Jeans? Give me something I haven't seen a zillion times. Something like that is more a 2 hour painting, not 5 hours... sorry. :/

I loved Dutch’s response when another painter told him that she liked his apples. Not just what he said (you should see my kiwi’s) but how he said it. I do think that technically he did a better job but they thought it was too “inside the box” where the winner’s design was more whimsical and more outside the box. She was as suprised as everyone that she won because you could see many finishing details missing. (Of course Dutch had more time also)

I know the young girl (I think her name is Angela) won’t win but I really like her spirit, she’s kinda my favorite - personality wise. The Vegas guy (I think his name is Gear) and Dutch both look like anime characters. I like the show and 100% agree about the guy they sent home...he’s the type of painter that can probably duplicate a design but not good at creating his own.

Her design wasn't bad, though i don't think it was as polished. But it depends what they were looking for, i suppose it told more of a story.

LOL thought it was TOO funny they could show the boobs with pasties, but nipple is too taboo. lol "oh no! not the little part that sticks out! that would be too much!"

I'm a little weirded out with how they are 'painting' Dutches 'character' honestly. Spend a week with the guy and you find out he really does know his stuff, and he knows that he knows and he doesn't hide it. But I wouldn't say he openly brags, and when he's being 'snarky' there is usually some build up so you are in on the joke with him. I just feel like they were picking the best sound bites - it is reality TV after all.

After watching the review video, i am really glad to know they picked experienced body paint models for the show, and not just models who are comfortable in the nude. A model having experience is HUGE you have no idea lol.

Yes, of course they love to do that. I think someone saying they were born with natural talent is not a bad thing - it’s the truth! some kids ARE just born with natural talent, whether it be singing or playing instruments, etc. He is an art prodigy. He did seem a little poutty about coming in third and then saying “I thought they were looking for the best technique” (or something like that) SEEMED cocky but for all we know they could have all been teasing each other. They’ll do whatever editing needs to be done to make it more interesting and get the ratings.
