Go ahead and laugh at me!!
Okay, so this is pretty funny ...
VERY BUSY NON-STOP line today - it was cookin' and fun and the paint was flowing!
My friend was helping in the booth and sitting right there and she almost busted out laughing and so did I, internally!
As I was collecting the money for a $7 face, the mom handed me a $10 and is about to walk away, and I say to her (to be polite about it), "Oh, you forgot your change ..." as I wave three dollar bills at her. Now, I do use that suggestion of giving back change in singles so people are more likely to put some in the tip jar.
So what's so funny?
Well ... what actually came out of my mouth in a beautiful Freudian slip was not what I wrote above. What I actually said, clear as day, was, "Oh, you forgot your tip!"
I'm not even sure the mom heard. But me and my friend did, and maybe you had to be there, but it was mini-embarrassing and pretty funny.
Imagine handing back people's change and saying, from now on, "Here is my tip. The jar is over there!"
Anyway, laugh.
It was a crystal clear day, a great fest, and the tips were ... tiptastic!

Lol, I was a bartender for many years and have done the same thing. It's always awkward, but probably easier to get away with around drunk people!

I think she actually took it and then put some in the tip jar. It was a funny slip. And a great festival. I am home from the second day and just ate and am now preparing to enter couch catatonia and wake up whenever I wake up, minus the alarm clock.
