Oh my. Last minute Christmas party. HELP.
I normally take October - December off, and just do the very occasional birthday party. It's such a busy season, and all my kids' own birthdays are stacked up in this time period. (insane, do not have four kids in the holiday months, what were we thinking?)
I got an SOS call from a previous client for a business Christmas party tonight (like, in 2 hours), begging me to come, and they'd pay extra for the last minute notice. I told her I didn't have any Christmas boards / books ready but I'd try to assemble some quick things. I have some fast holly / reindeer / Christmas lights / Santa faces that I do but almost NO photos. I called my kids up to practice, but my camera is on the fritz.
Would anyone be willing to give me permission to print some of their fast and furious (30 kids in 2.5 hours) Christmas designs? It would only be temporary for tonight, I won't keep / use them long term.
Let me know, thanks so much.

Okay, nevermind. Running out time. I'm just going to do a word board with ideas, plus my regular quick party sheet since kids seem to want the usual dragons and butterflies even if it's Christmas.

Re: Oh my. Last minute Christmas party. HELP.
omg, I had a last minute party too!!!
literally found out 20 minutes before the party that they wanted me there!
I just grabbed my paints and sponges, and took off!
got there, spit out a few design choices to the kids to get their imaginations flowing, and just painted by request.
I suppose it helps that I've been looking at everybodies awesome designs on facebook, so I had plenty of inspiration to draw from in my memory....
lots of animals-in-stockings, scary stuff with santa hats, winter animals, snowmen, Christmas trees, poinsettas, mistletoe and holly berries, red ribbons, fuzzy hats, elves, silver bells, candy cane designs, gingerbread designs.
I loved winging it-everyone got something different, and I got paid when I wasn't expecting it yay, time to buy MYSELF a gift
how did your gig go?

too bad I just saw this...I would have sent you some. But I've been so busy, haven't been on for a week :-(
Re: Oh my. Last minute Christmas party. HELP.
It was good! I ended up winging a ton, and as much as I like being uber prepared, it was kind of fun and different! It's kind of neat how without the posters or book how the kids really just got to pick what they wanted. There were a few kids who were stumped, but I just made some suggestions until I landed on something they liked.
I was surprised at how well it went. It ended up going over time, but she paid me extra. What a whirlwind!
