HI! From the New York Face & Body Art Guild!

Hello!

Just wanted to introduce our guild to this forum. We will be holding monthly meetings and face painting jams the third Tuesday of every month. So far we have been meeting in Rockville Centre, Long Island and we have people that travel from all over New York, New Jersey and even the lower parts of CT to join us. We will most likely be holding jams and meeting in other areas of NY in 2010 as opportunities come available. Our next scheduled meeting is Jan 19th at the RVC REC Centre....we will be doing hand painting, focusing on blending, details & fooling the eye...

In addition to the jams & meetings we have secured some great discounts for all of our members! Some of them include, SillyFarm, Pearl Paint, Utretch, Att Wireless, Diamond Fx and others as they become available to us...

We are also having some great Artist Workshops in 2010 that we are really excited about! The Wolfe Bros. In January, Andrea O'Donnell in August and we are working out dates with other artists for '10 including Deidre Macdonald, Yolanda Bartram (hopefully around convention time for those of you that can't make it to FABAIC) Heather Banks, we hope to re-schedule Pashur...and more...

Our guild will also be competing with Battle of the Guilds at the Convention in May & if you are going & register with us you will receive a 25.00 discount off registration plus 10% at the Silly Farm table and any other participating vendor.

For all the warm welcomes! I posted the Wolfe class in the jam/class section and I might have mentioned the 19th as well..I will put up another one separately...thanks for the tip...

As for us being an active guild we are sorta new and for 2010 we will be really active...its a work in progress. We are looking for lots more members and Volunteers for our Board...

Lonewolf...I do try to participate in as many discussions as I can...I am def. not all about promo .....its just a matter of time so I thought I would start out by introducing the guild for 2010....

I know what you mean Lone and I have asked for this to stop. This forum is a give and take. You need to give something, if you want to take something.
