So I noticed that....
I'm not as good as I used to be. When I painted 5-7 days a week for eyf. So i'm trying to build my confidence again, and get back into shape, painting shape. So far its been 3 or 4 days, I think. Here are some of my paintings.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
comments, critiques, suggestions, and even random ideas for me to paint are always welcome.

Re: So I noticed that....
Dear Krissimarie:
Your work is really great.
I don't see what you are criticizing yourself about.
Sometimes, when I stop drawing for a while, I feel that my new drawings suck.
I have learned to hang onto those drawings.
I have noticed that during any drawing hiatus, my eye becomes more discerning, and my hand has yet to catch up.
I feel this is the normal ebb and flow of creativity for me.
Maybe this is the same for you.
You have been to hell and back.
Please give yourself a break from criticizing your work.
Critique it, yes.
Criticize, no.
Look at pictures of your work upside down.
What leaps out at you?
If you notice a weakness, what can you do to make your work stronger?
Notice the good stuff, too.... your mise en page (in this case, placement on the face), colour sense, overall competence of your design.
And....
keep painting!
xoxo

Re: So I noticed that....
Your work is beautiful - we all ebb and flow, as Fessy said.
Fessy doesn't USUALLY lie. But sometimes tells stinkin' big porkies about body hair.
Don't listen to her when she starts.
But otherwise, yes - she speaks wisdom. And definitely keep painting, you're very talented! x

Re: So I noticed that....
Oh really - it's Nair! Can't you tell from the beautifully smooth and rash-free surface of my formerly-hirsute decollete?
Dammit. My secret's out.
What are you using on your beard these days?
xoxo (they're not Jesus things either)

Re: So I noticed that....
I decided that I wanted to have a normal Driver's License picture. I paid attention to my makeup as I carefully applied it. I checked myself in the mirror one last time.
Hey!
When did I grow that groovy little moustache!
Pluck
Pluck
Pluck
Off to get my picture taken at the Ministry of Transportation to renew my Driver's License.
While getting my picture taken, the clerk mumbled something.
I raised my eyebrows and said, "What?"
The evil clerk took my picture.
When I got home....
I checked myself in the mirror....
there was a pinky-red moustache on my upper lip where my original moustache had been. If I simply put my tweezers down, I would not have a picture of myself looking deranged, and pink mustachioed.
I am letting my beard grow really long.
If anyone notices my beard...it means I am not fascinating enough.
So, to answer your beard question Kammy...I am doing NOTHING about my beard. I don't know what I would do if I had a hairy chest.
