Not sure if I've got that right but since it was my first impression I'm guessing others will read it that way too. Is this photo your own work? I there any chance you could paint this guy as a mermaid? Keep working on it!!!

They are cute... as memes. But I don't really see them as advertising to non-painters. Sharing with other painters... yeah, they are great and amusing, but non-painters... I don't think they would hit any nerves, IYKWIM?

I think to advertise to non-painters, meaning potential customers, you need to show what you CAN do... these stock images are cute, but have absolutely nothing to do with your services.
