Watermarking for free anywhere?

Hi - I just read the three threads on watermarking here. But the picmonkey now charges and the picnik is now not in service. I'm just looking to experiment a little tonight, so I'm not into paying/joining/logging in/creating secret passwords/donating my first, second or even thirdborn/sharing my birth sign/opening my veins/etc. I just want to try to watermark a photo or two without cyberhassle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any advice? (I'd give you my thirdborn, if I had one!)

No advice here,sorry,but thanks for the giggle! I however probably WOULD give my first born child. She is going through this whole pre-teen, I hate the world thing. I do recall someone posting a site though...just can't find it.

GIMP is, or at least was, a free photo editing program. Might try that.

you will need a speedsheet type program -such as excel but there are others to create the stamp to copy paste in to the app though its not fancy but its free.

I use StoryBook Creator to watermark my photos (because I already have it and love it for other photo things). I have a paid version with more features but you can still do the watermarks with the free version:

Weelllllll, since I don't actually HAVE any children (which already makes "thirdborn" a pretty interesting flight of fancy), the answer is ... YES. This will be a time-share. You may all split and divide my figurative thirdborn anyway you like, and keep him/her/it for as long as you wish. This begins to sound like a science fiction book. "The Face Painter's Thirdborn." Or, "Thirdborn: Face the Facts." Or, "I Don't Exist and My Mother Gave Me Away Anyway." Or, oh, heck, I'll spare you. Logging off. Gotta go work on creating that firstborn. Good night!

I have been using this free program. very easy. change the watermark to your liking and it will watermark every photo in a given file location AND keeps the original file as well.
