A LIVE FORUM EVENT??? perhaps January......

It would be so cool if we could have a topic and do a "LIVE" event on the forum. That would really set you/us apart from the other forums out there!!!! Cool to see how many would stop in/participate/lurk.......

Could the forum servers handle it if we wanted to do something like that?

Or how about a creativity mini challenge?? 15 minutes or less....... totally random with a forum shop prize!?

Interesting... but timezones aside, we all have different schedules and different equipment (if you are talking something like video links)

If you wanna do a live event, maybe it's best that we just do a live stream video from one person's home and then everyone could join the chat and tell them what to paint!

Has anyone ever used the "chatbox" feature on the main page at the bottom? How many people could it hold? I remember way back when, like 10 years ago , there once was these things called "chat rooms" that would sometimes hold classes. There would be a moderator to pretty much run the discussion, people would chime in, some would just watch and read. There would be scheduled topics, ground rules for participating, the whole sha-bang. Face Painting 101: Tonight's topic: Blah Blah Blah, and you could read the transcript if you couldn't attend. Maybe assign some "homework" creativity challenges and we can post our assignments to share. Like: Tonight's challenge: design at least 1/2 a face utilizing the color green, a monkey, and a snowman. Go for it!

I will hold a lot and I am looking to start scheduling a time once a week that we could all meet. However, it has a glitch in that all the text appears to be white and cannot be seen. I have contacted my Technical help, Tilum, for assistance. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this by January.

What about chatrooms on the instant messenger services, yahoo, aim, etc?!?

They still have those, where you can invite people to them?

clown forum has a chat room that works well and a weekly chat scheduled... attendance has kinda sucked lately, but it can definitely work. I'm not sure if their chat is part of the board or a completely separate thing because it opens in a new window/tab and involves Flash in some way.
