Hope for Abused Practice Head??? Empty Hope for Abused Practice Head???

Can anyone tell me why this wouldn't work? It sounds great in theory....but I dunno....

Spray paint practice head with paint that is made for plastic and vinyl... I doubt there is a flesh color.... but there must be some color that would be usable. Then, after spraying with color... spray with sealer finish?

Ok... Go!

No one has any input as to whether it may work?

Sounds great in theory, you may want to sand the surface first to make the new paint stick

There is always hope for an abused practice head.
There are social workers and job councillors who will work with the practice head to rehabilitate them so they can go out into the world with some dignity and respect.
With a little help, they can become professional knitters, or typists for medical offices.

Also,
my practice head, Teenage,
became SO stained.
I massaged the whole head with red and left it for a week.
It is still stained.
It is more of an even staining (as opposed to an evening stain).

As always, fessy, you are absolutely no help at all Laughing

Ok, I am taking my head with me to Home Depot tomorrow and ask the ever-helpful folks there... oh, and I'll be taking my practice head with me as well.

I'm thinking that if they have a peach color for plastic then that is as good as it'll get. But if my theory works and the sealer won't damage the vinyl then my practice head can be wiped clean forever after.

And maybe that way I won't have to put it through exhaustive rehab.

p.s. When I took cake decorating classes I was on crutches and didn't want to deal with baking and frosting a cake every week so I bought one of those round brown cardboard boxes at the craft store, turned it upside down and painted it white, then sealed it with a spray. That way I could practice my decorating on it and wipe it clean when I was done.
