Nice painting, but I don't feel comfortable with these pictures.
For me, a line is crossed, sorry.

Very cool but it doesn't look painted at all, is it?
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
I was wonder the same, it looks photoshopped or stencil, lines very crispy and the color so bright.
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
I agree, the pics made me squirm a bit....l!zzie wrote:Nice painting, but I don't feel comfortable with these pictures.

I don't feel this type of nudity belongs here. And I agree that that the pics do look shopped quite a bit.

Photoshop much?
A mod should really take these down....

Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
Hypothetically, if they were painted by the OP, would you still feel they should be removed?
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
Well if you open the discussion, we are artists, we should have an open mind about art, she is from Europe where you see this kind of nudity on TV (you see adds selling showers with girls taking them) models never wear nipple covers for public body painting, and women take sunbaths topless on parks benches.
The only reason I feel the pictures doesn't belong to the forum is because they don't look painted at all but I am sure they will be removed soon.

Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
I find them offensive ONLY because I WISH I looked that good naked, lol.
I would like to know which aspects of them are hand-painted and how much is photoshopped though. It looks as though the photoshopped look was intended. IF those photos were achieved with paint only, then kudos to the artist, because that would be no easy task!

I love the fiberoptic cable one and the keyboard keys.
At a guess I'd say it's mostly airbrush art Seekorka?
Stencils would make the lettering and other geometric shapes quite possible. And allllll calendars are heavily photoshopped these days, even if the initial artwork is great.

I love those two as well, the cable was my favorite and looked the most painted, the keys I felt the same about.PaintedFaces wrote:I love the fiberoptic cable one and the keyboard keys.

THERE IS ALWAYS THE FINE LINE OF ART/PORN. I guess given my up bringing this seems a little more like the latter but I still see art in it for the painting alone, perhaps if it were on a less attractive body it may feel more real.??? Just a thought

Not in my part of Europe! Topless in parks/public is not allowed and I don't see nudity on tv.
Will this calendar be watched as: wow! Great painting! Or as: wow! Hot chicks!
For me this is to much nudity which has nothing to do with the painting.
And IMHO just because there's 'adults only' in the title, it doesn't mean you can post everything.
I DO find it interesting reading how other's think about this.
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
I agree that with this style of calendar and it's intended audience there's going to be more ogling the naked ladies than appreciating the artwork. And I much prefer to do full-coverage body art for that reason and use at least stick on "c-strings".
That said, I'm choosing to look at and appreciate the art side of it, which I think is colourful, clever, precise and well done.
Since it is causing mild controversy, would censor bars help, rather than removing the entire set of photos? Since they wouldn't be covering up any painting anyway.

I agree with L!zzie, I too come from Europe and topless is not allowed but accepted when discreet and i have only seen it at the beach, not done in front of family and children, definitely not in the parks! You can get arrested for driving in slippers and swims. In Italy there are programs on TV that shows topless not nudity, it is at a time where children should be sleeping.
I also feel this is not art as the body exposed takes more a center-stage then the painting itself.
It reminds me of those calendar for men only, it did show a product i think car or tires but no one was looking at those items, the end was only one "the naked girls" in fact i can't even remember what they were supposedly advertising.
It is very interesting on the other hand to read all your responses.

Gorgeous girls, artistically posed...
think renaissance art on postage stamps ..
(Ah yes, I feel that twinge of jealousy too...of the bodies AND the painting...)
Well done!

I Used to live in Germany americans were the only one to use swimming suits in the saunas, 7 years old kids naked on the beach, and ladies taking sun on panties seating on their skirts at lunch break, I saw ladies topples in Paris taking sun bath on the Seine River side walk and I regret taking my 7 years old daughter to Amsterdam were you see naked girls on the windows and a lot of sex related souvenirs.
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
Ah ah ah did you walk in the red district in Amsterdam!! Where the girls have red for occupied and green for free!?! Their job requires to be naked i guess.
That is not a common place.

Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
Hmmm, this is proving to be a very educational thread, what is a "c-string"???
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
Yes there was a clear warning, so if you're nosey enough to look then you have no right to suggest these be taken down. Theses are beautiful portraits of beautiful bodies that are very artistically done. I only wish my boobs were that perky anymore! Get over it ladies!
Re: Bodypainting IT Calendar :) (photos for adult)
Just my 2 cents… If you do want to post a thread that is adults only, you may want to stick the photos in at least the second post down.
All I had to do was click on the forum (I go straight to the portal) and I got to see all the images at the top of the list. Thankfully my kids weren't around.
I have no problem with the images but I would prefer being able to choose whether I look at them or not.

Wish my english was better....
Luz, Believe me, the Netherlands are different from Amsterdam and it's not common to see nudity. The red district in Amsterdam is a no go area for most Dutch, specially with children.
Paris same story. It's a big capital city and not an example of how it's going in the rest of the country.
I know rules are a bit more loose compared to US, but it's not like nudity all over here!
Photomomma: I didn't suggest the pictures be taken down, but only said I didn't feel comfortable with them. In my opinion everybody has the right to suggest or ask this, but not order!
I agree there was a clear warning, that's not the point, I'm just discussing the line between: this is bodypainting and this isn't.
And of course there's no simple 'line' to that, and that makes this discussion interesting!
