One Stroke scorpion - colour advice Empty One Stroke scorpion - colour advice

I've been doing Lisa Joy Young's one stroke scorpion using a red and black spit cake, but I'm finding the black is a little too heavy because I also outline in black. LJY does hers in DFX dark blue. Does any one else do this design and if so what colours do you use? Or do you have any colour suggestions? I'm thinking something metallic could work.

Actually...I like the red and black. It's a cool blend.

Ummm....I think he is missing his front pinchers though Smile
I tend to forget the bodies on my butterflies as events get long...my husband reminds me. Embarassed

maybe the black wouldnt be so overpowering if you moved your brush over a little and have more red andless black pick up,
