How do you know when you're ready?
So today I did my very first gig ever, the St. Nicholas festival at church. I managed about 15 kids with full faces (glitter, gems) in two hours. Not as fast as I would like, but I had a totally new kit, was set up badly, and it my first time. And, of course, when I look at the faces, all I can see are mistakes, but everyone seemed very happy.
I've been asked to submit some photos of my work by a woman in town who books face painting parties. We've negotiated a rate, thanks to you helpful folks. I think my work will be acceptable to her. She's wanting me to work an adult event with a couple of other painters. How do I know if I'm ready? The paradox, of course, is that I cannot be more ready unless I do more events. But should I just stick to volunteering for now? Or go for it?
Any sage advice you have would be appreciated.

Go for it! Look at where you think you could have improved at the festival and learn from that! If you think your work is acceptable there is no reason not to Good luck!x
