Black Friday, Who's with me?
So, I was wondering who else is a crazy black Friday shopper? I started a few years back and I LOVE it! I tell everyone “It’s my super bowl” I am a major bargain shopper and I love a good deal. However, I am NOT a morning person AT ALL! The only time I get up before sun up is to either go to the airport or black Friday. I think it is better to go with someone else and work in a “Team” I have dragged my husband (he secretly loves it )for the last few years- but he has to work this year BOOO! So, I debating if I should go it alone, or maybe train my dad—he is where I learned my bargain hunting from.
So… who’s with me?

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I'm a Black Friday shopper as well.
Last year my friend and i started at 10pm on thanksgiving and didn't get home till 8 the next morning with a van LOAD of stuff lol. I think you're right, it's way better to go with someone. I was able to stand in one line she in the other and we would grab for the both of us. it Rocked, we're doing it again this year hehe.
Also, if you go pre planned it works great. Each store starts their sales at different times during the night, so we had our map ready before we even started lol.

I've had to google it - first time I ever heard about this one.
I would be in on it surely if we had one like it.
Good luck bargain hunting!

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
My husband and I both work retail , instead of shopping I get to work 24 hours
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I wish we had it here- makes sense to have it before Christmas instead of the day after.
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I've always loved it - but, the past few years I have discovered the same or better deals online with free shipping. This year I really don't have funds for much of anything - so, I'll be scrimping and saving to make a holiday for DD.
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I loathe Black Friday and won't have anything to do with the madness - ever since I almost got shoved to the ground about 12 years ago just so someone could get a $14.99 Razor scooter ahead of me.
Nothing.... and I mean NOTHING in any store anywhere at any discounted price is worth the loss of sleep or leaving family that have traveled to visit.
Sorry... but for me, the whole "Christmas decorations up before Halloween even gets here" ruins Thanksgiving as it is.... and Black Friday cheapens Christmas down to a whole new level.

So with ya Miss Ronnie. I will periodically check out online deals but I never leave the house. I even gas up the cars and truck before Thanksgiving so that if there was a zombie outbreak I wouldn't have to shop for gas on Black Friday. it's just not worth it. I still remember that poor store employee who was trampled to death by bargain shoppers who mobbed a store and the girl that was shot in a Toys R Us. Not worth it... Amazon Prime, 2 day shipping is where it's at.
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
Do you think a Zombie outbreak is expected this holiday season?
I may have to put a 24 hr. guard on my leftover turkey carcass!

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I get to be the lucky one this year out doing the black friday thing. I have family that can't make it through the masses (or more appropriately shouldn't be dealing with it) so I am taking one for the team and gearing up for the chaos. But hey did anyone else hear that Kmart is offering layaway on Black Friday??? Since I will be subjected to chaos and madness anyways, maybe my kids will get their big dreams after all.....

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
After I posted this, I went and checked out the add previews online... Stores will be open at 8pm on Thanksgiving! This is REDICULOUS! We can't even take one day off from our consumerism to give thanks, I feel so bad for the people who will have to work. So, even though I love black Friday and have enjoyed it for many years, I think I will have to boycott! I loved it when it was a once a year frenzy, I just can't deal with it creeping into thanksgiving-- isn't anything sacred anymore
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I was out in the madness last year and I'm glad I don't have to be out that late this year because I only need to get 2 DVD's so I can hit Wally World and be home by bed time.

Dear Miss Ronnie:
Please, do not refer to yourself as a leftover turkey carcass. I am sure that you can come up with something a little more complimentary about yourself.
Do you want to wear my hockey equipment in the event of a Zombpocalypse?

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I am sad and scared to say that I found evidence of Black Friday actually beginning at 8 am Thanksgiving morning.

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I usually go but not this year. I probably will go online and try to snatch up a few bargains though! After working retail for 14 years I refuse to shop on major holiday's, even at the grocery store.

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I deserve a medal, lol...I battlesd Walmart shoppers last night at 10 PM.... they herded them through metal barricades with guards (WTF?) . it was ridiculous...but I did get my Garmen 5" GPS in my hot little hands for only $69.!!!! Today, no....had enough last night lol
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I only had to go to Micheals 4 to 11last night doing the rest of my shopping online.
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
My husband has gone out the last few years, but personally I hate crowds and won't go near a store on black friday until after 3 PM, if then.
My husband went out with a friend last night to Wal-mart and came home at 1:30 in the morning. Of course he woke me up...then I couldn't get back to sleep...and I had to get up for work at 4:15am. I now LOOK like I went out for Black Friday
According to him the store was mobbed and was completely destroyed by the time they were checking out. Really? I'll stay home, thanks!
That said...I am also a grocery store couponer. I have family members and neighbors that shop for groceries at my house. But, no...I don't qualify for the Extreme Couponing show.

Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
I've seen it to, even in a local newspaper!
If you look at the picure it almost does look like a zombie outbreak
Re: Black Friday, Who's with me?
Hahaha! That blonde chick is definitely emitting some undead vibes! It's scary, Black Friday just started in Canada recently and it's nowhere near as good as in the states, but we don't have the huge mobs. Not that I've seen anyway...
My hubby did just leave for a new 50" tv though... Poor, poor credit cards...
