YET ANOTHER UPDATE**Update** for Help!!!! Seriously.... Help!!!!

If there is anyone on line who can help me get out of the mess I created with my facebook page this morning, please let me know ASAP. I am locked out of my own facebook and nothing is working for me to get logged back in.... I have lost my facebook page because I tried to make a change in my account settings and obviously didn't know what the heck I was doing....

I have even tried to restore my computer system to yesterday's date and I can't even get that going....

I would LOVE to help you.

It doesn't do what I really MEAN.

It took 45 minutes to delete a "friend" off FaceBook last night, with plaintive cries directed at my children to help me.
Afterwards, when I was finally successful, I realized I will always have to weigh how much I really, really don't want to see a post from that person again, versus the agony of facing down FaceBook controls again.

You can request a new password by clicking the Forgot your password? link on the Facebook login page. We'll send you an email with a link to reset your password.

If you're logged in to your account:1. Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page.
2.In the dropdown menu that appears, select Account Settings.
3.Scroll down to Password, click the change link, and follow the instructions.

If you have already changed your pw, you could still be on a 24h lockout

It's a long story about what I was trying to do and what I actually did, but setting my password DOES NOT do it!!!. I even had MelodyFPL trying through Teamviewer and she could figure it out... but we're going to hopefully attempt it again today.

S.O.S.!!!!! I reaaaalllly need to contact facebook by phone. I have gone over the site with a fine bristled paint brush and cannot find a phone number. I've typed every "scenario" into the HELP section and still cannot find a way to have someone from facebook help me. There is a forum where I can ask for help, but I don't think it will be of any use, since what has happened is sort of a personal matter... At this point, I have been quite happy with staying away from the addicting side of face book posting for a few days now, but I needs me my Starblends, Fast Faces and One Stroke groups!!!!!

I am forever locked out of my old facebook page unless someone can provide me a way to contact facebook directly... The last correspondences with my late nephew are on there and I would be devastated to lose that forever.

Thanks, Erica. Unfortunately, the phone number is useless. I cannot get any help from face book for this particular problem. It goes beyond re-setting my password. It seems I am locked out of my original page forever.

It really doesn't matter to me about losing the page.... I can start fresh if I choose to. The only thing that matters to me is that I have lost those cherished conversations with my late nephew. I am beyond sad... it hurts so much to lose those conversations - they kept me somehow connected to him.

Let's try again tomorrow , and contact fb about your orphaned facebook page Miss Ronnie. (It's past bedtime here)

Sorry to hear about your nephew, I know it must be heartbreaking to lose those messages I wouldn't give up though. There are facebook forums with techies that I'm sure could help...

Okay, here is the scenario so far. I am still totally and completely locked out of my old Facebook page. There is no getting back to it unless Facebook decides to answer one of my several email pleas... but that may not happen, since their email to me expressly says that they do not answer every inquiry... it may be that they just randomly pick who they will help.

At any rate, do I sit and wait for a month to see if they will help me or go ahead and start using the new page I created. I will have to send friend requests all over again and some people may not understand why I'm doing that and choose not to accept. That's ok.... the real reason i want back on so much is the One-Stroke group, the Starblends group, and the Fast Faces group.

And, as I said in my very first post in this thread; I really don't care about losing the page, except that I will no longer be able to read the many instant message conversations I had with my nephew who died on Feb.29th. My biggest fear is that if I start using the new page then Facebook will think that all is fine with me and will not even try to help me get my page back...

On the bright side.... I have gotten soooooooo much done around the house since I am not checking in with Facebook all the time! That can only be a good thing

She logged in to my computer and managed to.... heck, I'm not exactly sure and I watched the whole thing unfold in front of my eyes!

She had both of her email addresses attached to the new empty account. And the old account only used the one proper address.
So i removed the email used on the original account from the new one, so when she tried to log into it, it would not try to log into the new one.

Then we tried logging in using her personal address and it recognized that accounts it used to be attached to (i guess that is what happened) and allowed us to choose the old one. There was some password change things. but then it just worked.

Note to the FB world - do not have the same email address on more than one account

I tried the same thing, but after removing her personal address it just told me that there was NO ACCOUNT attached to that address - probably refers to login location and cookies too ( fb was very suspicious of me - being faaar from miss ronnies desk...) Nice to know how that works, may be helpful for someone else in the future! Thanks!
