Tip Sign for Saturday

I have a gig on Saturday at a motorcycle rally.

It's a volunteer job but they gave me $50.00 for paints and will reimburse me gas. They asked me to dress up since it's a Halloween themed rally for the family and kids. They also said I could put out a tip jar and keep 100% of the proceeds.

My go to costume is a witch. It's easy and can modified in many ways.

So I made this sign for the tip jar and was wondering what you all thought of it.

Hmmmm.... Not sure.... kind of wordy, maybe. But it is your decision to make.

I would probably go more the route of the witch casting a spell on you.

I agree with Miss Ronnie, its a bit wordy...cute idea though.

I have to be honest about how it reads to me...it reads, to me, like if you tip, you'll get a BETTER face, which implies if you DON'T tip, the face won't be as good. Sorry, but I know you want honest opinions!!

Simple seems to work best when gathering tips. "Working for tips", has worked best for me so far. Good luck!

Lol, I can't help but think people will be trying to tip you over... Sorry, I think it needs rewording..

I'm actually the kind to just say, "Complimentary designs, Gratuities extremely appreciated"

But I try to keep things as formal as possible. I wear dress pants and a dress shirt to my gigs, and never use a smiley or lol in an email. That's just me.

The one inspired by Miss Ronnie would be confusing to people I think.. Your revised one is better than your first, but honestly I would just say, "Tip the Witch today!"

Maybe you could say something about casting an evil spell if they don't tip? I don't know, I feel like it's turning from asking for tips to begging/threatening for them lol

I don't ask for tips, I accept them.

Inspiration for the tipping witch came from other signs on the web... I googled "clever tip signs" and a lot of stuff came up, but most of it was just aweful.

I was going for cute and/or funny.

I dont mind begging/asking tho. Just not groveling. lol

I think in this case its not really threating them since they must know I have no magical powers to cast a spell - Im hoping they'll see it all in good humor.

Pashur's line is Hilarious. I've been waiting for the opportunity to use that one but haven't had an all adult job yet.

Last Halloween my tip sign said Tipping keeps the Zombies away! This year I have my skeleton coming out of his grave and the sign says Never too late for tipping! and there is a chebee reaper in the middle.
