DFX Greens Empty DFX Greens

Post by Willoughby Wed Oct 24, 2012 3:15 pm

Hi all, I see there are 3 greens in the DFX Essentials range: Light Green, Green and Dark Green.

Is there a big difference between the Green and Dark Green? I have TAG Light (Lime) Green and TAG Regular Green... but I'm wondering if DFX Dark green is intensely dark. Does anyone have a picture or swatch? Thanks in advance.

you can always add a little black to your green when painting and make it darker also..

How do you find those links to swatches in the forum shop? scratch I've never seen them.

They aren't there for everything but if you see "Product Demo" click on it. You can see a lot of DFX swatch comparisons especially well laid out.

Ok, so I bought the DFX Dark Green. I am finding it very sheer. Is this a bad batch or does anyone else feel the same? Just curious. TAG Regular Green is so much more opaque. No matter how much paint I work into the brush, I just can't seem to get the DFX looking decent.

Hmm, that's odd. I don't have the DFX dark green on its own, but I do have their Jungle split that has all the greens in it, and the dark is definitely not sheer. It's pretty deep-pigmented.

Makes me wonder if you got a bad batch, though perhaps someone else who has the actual lone dark green can comment?
