Hi to All
i am so sorry to have just burst in this way. Have been trying since yesterday to figure out how to upload pictures and i thought it was not going to work again. But it did!
i am a mum of an 8 years old girl, and been painting at home for the past two years. Practicing on my daughter first, until she got fed up and i am on me now.
Thanks to the warm welcome from Valerie A, i found courage to join you all if you will have me.
i read through some 11 pages like a breeze, you are all so interesting and talented.
can't wait to finish the other 8.
I love you

Nice job on your face for your daughter!

Thanks Valerie! I love seeing all the new post, but hate not visiting regularly.
Lately the gigs I get are all theme ones, so I find myself making new boards for them.
Thanks to the forum I found the foam faces @ Michaels and also foam sheets at dollar store so mostly doing a simple designs and trying to keep it simple since I still need to get my speed up.
This is a pic from the Western theme fall fest and the most requested... Very Happy

Took a small sized flat brush to make the onestroke dolphin Very Happy (oke... first one didn't work so I had to paint over it and then made a new one with better colors) It's just the "simple" onestroke dolphin, a small version.

Isn't it a pain?? Then try closing both eyes and painting over one of them. That's what I have to do when I'm painting my left eye. Wink

I love your design - so cute and pretty!

Here's how I look, as I type this:
Show and Tell #1 a Newbie "free for all" - Page 12 Cheeta10
How is it that whenever I paint my nose, it itches and itches, even though I have no allergic reaction to any of my paints???? There's obviously an invisible gremlin that follows face painters around, urging them to scratch their newly-painted areas.

Paola, just like Belle, I'm partial to peacocks...and yours is beautiful! Thanks for the tip on the book, but I finally found it on Amazon for a decent price ($17 including postage)...and it even comes with a spiral binding cheers so it will lie flat. I haven't gotten it yet and eagerly check the mail each day. bounce I already got the TAG antique bronze green pearl and the other one Kammy did her mask in and I'm just itching cat to get going on it!

Belle, you are so creative coming up with you own designs for the Hanukkah party. Your little western design is so cute, with that sparkly hat! I'm so glad you had that western party and asked for design ideas, because shortly after you asked for design ideas, my friend asked me to come do her preschool/kindergarten class with Native American designs. I would have been lost without all the forum help.

Daphne!!!!!!!! Whoa girl! Those eyelids are REALLY fabulous!! I just can't imagine trying to paint that small...and on your own face!!! Keep up the good work.

Kammy, Glad to see you feeling a bit better and back with us! Missed you! That is such a nice cheatah you did! love those spots with the golden centers. Is the yellow just regular TAG? or Snaz? or???

This thread is VERY long....

So what does everyone think: Should I start a new "Show & Tell" so new people don't have to read all twenty pages?? and give up and say 'what's the use!?! this is too much to wade through!!"
...or leave it so when they do come here they can get to know us and see what we've been doing??

And I know some of you are already doing so, or have done in the past...but maybe we could keep welcoming the real new newbies that are in the "introductions" thread to join us for the Newbie Challenges and Show and Tell? It seems like only maybe one in 25 or 30 join us (due to shyness or whatever confused ) so we need to keep on inviting so we keep getting the new blood here Laughing
