Ben Nye palettes
I recently bought a Ben Nye palette. I really love the colors!!!! I know this is a dumb question but this is powder right? No water necessary?

Re: Ben Nye palettes
Ben Nye has powders and paints that need water as well as creams. Do you know what else they are called? Lumiere is the powders that shimmer I forget if the other powders have another name.

Re: Ben Nye palettes
Ben Nye has several different products so it depends on what you have.
Since you have Lumiere Grande Colour then they should be able to use wet or dry. I have these and they take work to activate with water due to high talc content.
Do you have Aqua Cakes? Yes water activated.
If you have Fireworks, then that should be a shimmery cream that needs nothing. I like the few I have for quick accents on body painting.
They have a lot of theatrical color wheels, color correctors, setting powders, sealants, eye and lip products too. Just check what you have and also take a look at their online web catalog it has a body painting with the Magicakes and some pretty good face painting as well. And a full description of all the product lines. I figure I can put the link here since this is not a sales site - just the manufacturer's informational site http://www.bennye.com/image/2007_BNC_Catalog.pdf
I am still experimenting with my Ben Nye. They have a lot of product offerings and nice availability in my local large theatre shop.
I also have some of the magicolor liquid for mixing with water/sealant for my airbrush and am happy with it so far.
Good luck. Let us know how you like it. I will try and attach a pic of my koi fish I painted with my BN purple accents.
