URL of a Facebook page - name change

Hi eveyone! I'm hoping someone is a Facebook guru out there and can help me! I set up a business Facebook page a few weeks ago as I was just starting under "Faces by Miss Heidi". I decided to change my business name before I made my official website, and have now purchased the domain name: ColorMeWildFacePainting.com.

I can change my "name" in Facebook, but the url still shows up as https://www.facebook.com/missheidifaces - I don't want to make a whole new page, cause I worked really HARD for those 73 "likes" Anybody know how to transfer/change the url of my page? www.facebook.com/colorme.wild is taken, but www.facebook.com/colormewildfacepainting is NOT

I had this same problem with my other business Star-Walk Amusements. We use to be Star-Walk Entertainment and I have over 500 like's. Then this year we changed it to the Amusements and I went to change the name and it wont let you at all. I had to make a brand new page for the Amusements and still haven't reached 100 yet. Im stuck at 98. So what I do is when I post in the Amusements I go to my other page and post part of it then tell them to be sure to like our new page.

That is one thing I wish Facebook would change. It does suck very badly.

Totally stinks! I was afraid this would be the answer! Most of my "likes" are friends and family, but some are friends of friends and family... I guess it's better that it happened now than when I was at your level!

*UPDATE!! My husband figured out how to do it!! Apparently you can change your business or fan page url ONE TIME ONLY. Here's how in case anyone searches this again or you are interested:
Go to Edit page, then Update Info, then Username, then it will say "Change Username" and you can check the availability of the url you want!

Thank you! It took FOREVER to come up with something... I kept blurting out names I'd seen here...

I wanted to change my business page name from Shannon Fennell to Shannon Fennell MakeUp, which BTW IS my url. They wouldn't let me. My personal page and business page are therefore both called "Shannon Fennell"

Facebook can be so weird sometimes! I had no problem changing the name of my page, it was the url I couldn't change.

To change the name I went to "Edit Profile", then "Basic Information" & about halfway down the page it says: Name:___

I think it also depends if your two pages are linked to each other, maybe?

They are connected under my one identity/email. I applied to change it and they turned me down.

Oh I never have seen that so that must be new. Since I already have the other facebook page I just renamed this url to Star-Walk Amusements NWA. I sent the other request in to change the name of the business which was in the same area (I have to send documentation though on that part they say) thanks again!!

No problem, I'm just glad it worked!! Wouldn't want to lose "ALL" my "likes"
