Hi from Salt Lake City UT!
Hi!
My name is Manda, and I wanted to introduce myself on this forum. I've loved art/painting in many forms since I was very young (my father is a set designer/fine art painter), but have only recently been turned on to face painting. My friend and fellow forum-member, Lilly-A-Clown, had been talking with me about a website for her clowning as I do some graphic design in my free time. It turned into me helping her with a few face painting bookings, and now I'm hooked!
We had an amazing weekend painting faces (I love the "oddball" requests!) and I think I've found something I can truly dive into creatively!
Anyway, I have been browsing the forums for the last week or two and have wanted to post in so many threads I figured I'd better sign up for an account!
I'd love any advice from you seasoned painters and have been scouring the forums to figure out what I truly need for a "basic" starter painters kit. I'm trying to decide between a pallette (but which brand??!) or separate colors and making my own pallette... So many choices!
Ok time to stop rambling now. Thanks for having a forum like this for people like me to brainstorm and find amazing tips and advice from people who have been doing this for much longer than I have!
If anyone needs help with design stuff (logos, banners, etc) please let me know as I will be happy to help out if I can. I don't mean this as a solicitation, just an offer if someone needs help...
Thanks!
Manda

Mandy -
Welcome to the artsy painting tribe. Sure you will learn a lot and have fun in the process. Congrats!!! on finding us. You could probably barter some graphic design for some starter supplies!!! So many here are trying to get a website up and going and may need a logo. Check the Swap Shop!
