Sunday Sunday Sunday!
So i got my glitter tattoo's in, and decied to post up at the traders village(super huge flea market)and do glitter tatt's and maybe facepainting(if its not stupid hot)..its only 30 for a spot! i plan on doing one tatt for 5 and 2 for 8...and then 5 buck faces!! i will post up my set up on sunday!! i have really high hopes for this cuz there is no one up there.. they have rides and a few games..so everyone cross their fingers for me!

Any reason you feel the need to offer a discount at two? Parents usually don't balk at $5 each. If a family has 3+ kids who want GT's, then I'll start discounting, but only if they ask or it's towards the end of the day.
Re: Sunday Sunday Sunday!

Re: Sunday Sunday Sunday!
Hey Barb yea that is a long time! But Sunday was such a dissapointment! I had high hopes of doing well and comming back as a regular, now i don't know..maybe y'all sr. folks can give me some feedback! So my 1st bad thing was we were alllllll the way in the back facing the back! So a lot of folks never got to see us..and the ones who did turned us down..i painted one face and my son did 1 tatt..then that that decided to make us look like we never done them b4..i was so embarrassed cuz it could of looked wayyy better..my son was so hard on himself..but he did really good for the sistuation..we left 3 hrs early cuz all three of my boys were complaning and i couldnt take much more..i know i need better signage and a better spot...but do y'all think that would make a difference..majority of the folks who attend are hispanic and spanish is their 1st language..so its not like i can say much to get them to stop..i was so depressed when i got home i bought cookies and milk and that was dinner for me..the only positivve thing was i got my flyers and buz cards out to a lot of folks...{end rant}
Re: Sunday Sunday Sunday!
Around here flea markets are populated by folks looking for something for nothing.
Or a Rembrandt tucked behind an obscure painting of dogs playing poker.
I tried one weekend and it was a bust. The only thing that made it worth the time and money was that we split the booth in half and my hubby sold off some stuff he'd wanted to yardsale. He made more than me. By far...
Kids who show up are children of vendors, whose parents are there trying to make money, same as you. They don't want to spend it on anything.
But I was hoping you would have a better experience. Sorry you didn't.

Lexie I was hoping things went well there...there is always such a big crowd at traders village...maybe you could get a better spot toward the front..or maybe just in front of the gate where people come in...that way you are seen by everyone....talk to the people there to see if you can get a better spot...it may be better if your not in a booth per say...some times when I have gone there there are so many people that the booths seam to get lost in the crowd since they have 3 walls around them...I would try to get up front or bye the food vendors...everyone has to eat and you could been seen there...also i would google places that kids eat free and talk to some of them...I have 2 restraunts that I paint at weekly...I do know that IHOP has a kids night...I tried to get my sister to go there, but then she got sick...just a thought on the restraunts...but there are tons of them in dallas...also ck out Sonic and see if they have a car night..or try to find places that have cruise nights...i do well at car shows here...good luck...in Big D
