Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
I have been trying to contact her-tried both phones, memory is full on business phone & cell goes right to VM.
I notice she has not been on here for like a day and a half. I hope she is ok? Melody? any ideas where she is? Worried.

I'm concerned about her as well. Hope she didn't overdo it and wind up back in the hospital.

Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
Have you tried her phone again... Do you know of any family members
West Nile is dangerous and she could have relapsed. Hopefully not home alone ...

Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
To quote Mark Twain, "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated"
I got out of the hospital last night.
Never trust the doctors when they tell you anything while you are in agonizing pain and the only one else there as your advocate is you 78 year mother. Apparently, I originally had three (count 'em, 3) large kidney stones last month all sized nicely - 6mm, 7mm and 8mm - always nice to have a matching set of anything. They only ever told me about the 8mm because I guess that was the one that the immediate culprit. So Tuesday night at my restaurant gig I started to feel poorly and it all went downhill from there. I have now passed the 6mm but the 7mm is "supposedly" in an area that is posing no threat whatsoever. But this time I had a kidney infection to go along with it and that was horrible. I have never spiked a fever so many times in my life. I have a rather low baseline temp of around 95.6... and I kept spiking up to 102.8. The body pain and headaches were agonizing.... I'm starting to think that I never really had West Nile at all and what I had all along was just this crap. I felt exactly the same as before, although the headaches weren't quite as intense this time. Well, who knows....
I am back to being a weak little baby kitten again for a few days....mew
and i have to get my strength up for Pirates Days next weekend
So, what have I learned? Hmmmmmm.... I think I could write a book about this summer and call it "Diary of a Wimpy Face Painter" or "How to Get Free Food and Accommodations Without Even Trying"
I learned that 3 rides in an ambulance in 3 weeks is more than anyone should have to endure.
I know for a fact they took out my coffee gland and it seems that they may have also removed my yum-yum gland.... because I have had no real appetite for quite awhile now - this could really be a good thing, though.
I also learned that there is apparently no amount of unicorn good-luck rubbing will bring me good luck and I'll just have to learn to get along better with Sam, my little rain cloud that follows me everywhere.
And I learned that I truly do have friends all over the world through this forum and I thank you for your prayers and concerns.

Oh Miss Ronnie, you poor Dear...glad to hear you are on the road to recovery! You are such a ray of sunshine to everyone on here and so appreciated. Take some time to feel 100% again and get back to the things you love.
Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
Hey, I think you also have an enlarged humor gland--but don't let them mess with it!
(Does Sam's presence mean you no longer have to carry water bottles to outdoor gigs?--or does her just help you at contracted gigs that you get to leave early due to weather?)

Water is a very good thing for those prone to kidney stones. Such a relief to hear from you. I was about to ask Shannon to hitch the wolf team to the sled and "Mush" her way to you! (Wolves have very good tracking noses you see)

Alas, 'twas my addiction to McDonald's unsweetened iced tea with extra, extra ice that done me in.... for only a buck (and I was buying at least 2 a day) I was making the McDonald's Corp. happy ally summer long and setting myself up and had NO IDEA that too much iced tea causes kidney stones.
I gave up my diet coke addiction a few years ago. Now I reduced to spring water that I can once a day add lemonade sweetened with Splenda to....
Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
Water and cranberry juice. Stick to that.

Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
That was a good lesson learned, so glad you found out about it! I'll have to tell my younger brother, he drinks way too much tea. I hope this is all behind you now and that you will be feeling better very very soon

Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
Yep! Tea is bad in large quantities.
REST GIRL!!!! You need to take care of your body.
Are you sure it was the tea & not all the glitter you're snuffing?

No cranberry juice for me... I'm on Coumiden for life..
No coffee, no yum-yum, no iced tea, no cranberry juice, no man, no maid, no gardener....
Dang, this sucks.
Re: Has anyone talked to Miss Ronnie?
My mom is on it ... the pharmacist said one glass a day at breakfast was okay. She takes the warfarin at dinner time.
