Smurfs and tired butlers? Empty Smurfs and tired butlers?

Post by joe_wibble Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:16 am

Okay so I am helping to paint my two little cousins for their school concert - awesome sounds fun right?
One was going to be 'Rocky Horror' theme (for a primary school?) and the other a fairy.
I wasn't sure about the Rocky Horror but I LOVE painting fairy faces!!

I get a message that no not a fairy anymore she is going to be a Smurf?!
I am not sure what to paint I was thinking body brush on blue, then add extra eyelashes so they are super obvious, a little 'blush' and maybe reddish lips I mean Smurfette does wear a lot of makeup...My questions are what sort of blue should I use? I was thinking TAG light blue is too light, TAG dark blue is too dark and the Pearl sky blue tends to stain. I only paint as a hobby right now and have zero money for more paints i was thinking maybe mixing a little white into the dark blue to get a middle blue but I have come to the greats to find out what you would do to paint a smurf....I did a google search and nothing jumped at me.

As for the Rocky Horror theme he has decided he wants to be Igor by which I'm guessing he means 'Riff Raff' which just means looking a bit older and creepy. I figure I will be able to find some tips via google or youtube for that but any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

Mix the light blue with a little dark to get your medium blue. Play with it.

I remember way back when.... Rocky Horror was so controversial....

And now little kids want to dress up like characters from it! Laughing

We've come a long way, baby!
