Glitter gels
OK, so I've read a few threads but can't remember reading about what I'm about to ask, if I'm wrong, sorry
It seems like Suzy Sparkles has cornered the market, so I think my first purchase will be some of hers with the Forum Shop, BUT I don't know when to use, what are essential colors, or most importantly drying time.
I'm thinking you use the gels to enhance a piece, like black/white dots or tear drops?
Would good starting out colors be gold, silver, & pink?
Thanks in advance & an even bigger THANKS for everything I've already learned from you all.

Re: Glitter gels
are talking glitter gel or liquid bling? i think liquid bling is the one in the bottle that you can outline your designs and the gel is for accenting parts of your paint designs like glitter. I havent used suzy's bling yet.( I have 2) but I prefer loose glitter to the gel. The gel seems to pick up the paint if you use your finger to apply and redeposit wherever else you use. Does that make sense. or am I totally off base from what you were asking?
Re: Glitter gels
I didn't know there was a difference, so no, not what I was asking, but definitely helpful...do the gel & liquid bling have different drying times or are they pretty much the same? and what are they, or does it just depend on thickness & weather?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Glitter gels
These glitter gels are meant to accent your facepaint in a beautiful, twinkly accent. The difference between Liquid Bling and Suzy Sparkles is the following:
LB: needs a special metal tip to control the flow & speed of the glitter line
SS: comes in a larger, softer bottle, no tips necessary, squeeze harder and get a bigger line, squeeze softly and get a tiny little thin line.
LB: occasionally gets constipated, so you have to do surgery on your bottle of glitter
SS: stored upside down on flat lid, never gets stuck
LB: dries in 10 minutes (depending upon weather conditions), flattens out slightly as it dries
SS: dries in 12 minutes (depending upon weather conditions), flattens out slightly as it dries
I am have not been paid to endorse Suzy Sparkles. I AM addicted to the stuff. If I had to narrow it down for you as to which ones are essential, my unbiased opinion would be for you to buy ALL the Suzy Sparkles. Um, my little heart leans toward the Holigraphic colors...Gold
Next one would be Platinum,
You would not believe how a Snow Princess Mask "pops" with the Turquoise
I have a slew of the Neon colors for UV Bowling parties.
I believe that Suzy Sparkles could even enhance badly painted clowns on canvas. (Okay, maybe I am overstating the possibilities of the Suzy Sparkles).
I would start with the Holographic Gold. Heck, just get all of them. They are amazing.
xoxo

Re: Glitter gels
liquid bling and suzy's are glitter gel... they are just packaged differently and generally finer glitter than the snazaroo type pots of glitter gel.
I had some liquid bling or something like it from sillyfarm at one point and used it maybe twice? it was always clogged and I could never get it to work properly. I haven't personally had any clogs with Suzy's glitter gel yet (although I have seen someone else have it clog a couple of times... but it's still way better than the metal tips). I have silver and pink and I like them. I don't use them a lot because it isn't going to dry while the kid is in front of you... it will take a while so don't use it on a kid that is going to touch their face, like at all. I pretty much reserve it for girls over 7-ish (although I did use some on a boy's robot face the other day for the rivets and was pretty happy with how that worked out). Don't use a ton at once, less is more.

Here are some super awesome videos....LMAO

I loved glitter gel before I started making them... every time I would pull it out to use it it would be clogged and I would just end up chucking it back in my kit disappointed. Also, I had the Mark Reid stuff and that was like water....I then decided to just make my own and made a few that I just never used, months later I found them and squeezed it and their was NO CLOG after sitting there.. I was so happy and thought, THIS IS GREAT!!! So I thought everyone would want to have it
There have been a few isolated clogs but that was my fault. Sometimes I get a little too glitter happy and put too much glitter in and then it gets a little clogged...
But my opinion is completely biased.

Re: Glitter gels
I am sold...I like how easy they are to use..the metal tips on LB make me nervous with kids because kids can just be "twitchy" at the wrong time as we all know..
Re: Glitter gels
I will chime in on this one.
I bought a handful of liquid bling from Amerikan body art and they're sooo frustrating. I actually chucked the white completely because it was so full of chunks I never could get it to work. The others clog constantly, I ended up storing them with a dresspin in the metal tip and that helps.
I bought the suzy sparkles gold my last FP order and I LOVE it nice easy to use bottle and no clogs so far! Gonna buy some more my next order.
